these devices involves a close partnership between hardware and software engineers, designers, and manufacturing. We are currently building the next generation and Surface
development team is seeking qualified candidates to drive and define electrical system including analog front end, digital signal processing, sensing algorithm and other aspects to deliver best touch experience.
In this position you will focus on touch and pen systems and with an emphasis on touch and pen system. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help define the future of human/computer interactions.
The responsibilities of this position are focused on architecture, prototyping, implementing and verifying the touch and pen system that make up the Surface
product. This role also includes development of requirements and evaluating different solutions for functionality, cost, and risk. These include (but are not limited to): touch/pen technologies, touch panel stackups and the electronics that drive them (DSP
The role will include architecting and developing signal processing blocks and implementing in a complex embedded system. The blocks include object recognition, image correction, false image rejection, and backlight control.
The position involves working closely with display architects, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, software engineers, test engineers, component engineers, and program managers.
in Electrical Engineering
or Computer Engineering
or similar field.
5 years touch system experience. Including
integration, IC selection, and touch algorithm development.
of 10 years' experience contributing to the design and production of complex products in the consumer PC or consumer electronic industry.
-A solid understanding touch and pen input engineering principles, fundamentals of DSP
design, control and imaging algorithms, and imaging analytical techniques are required.
with PC, embedded system hardware and software architecture, experience with implementing DSP
algorithms on imaging as well as processing sensor input for touch.
