Microsoft's Global Advertising and Media team is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager; Global Strategist to lead global media strategy for the Surface and PC consumer campaigns.

The Senior Marketing Manager in an integral part of the Global Media Strategy & Planning team within the Global Ad and Media organization. The team is responsible for planning and activating Microsoft's investment in global advertising by building sound global media strategies with consumers at the core. The team also leads the development and activation of the US Media plans for the consumer lines of business. The team responsibilities extend to driving market intelligence and contributing to Microsoft's media innovation across new media channels, ad tech, etc. So much in pop culture centers around media and this team is at the heart of representing Microsoft's presence in cultural and media moments. By tying business objectives, insights and media partners together, the Global Media Strategy & Planning team is at the center of driving business impact through world-class media strategies, plans and results.

Specifically, the Senior Marketing Manager; Global Strategy for Surface and PC is tasked with building a global media strategic approach that is grounded in consumer insight, supported by data and built to deliver against campaign goals; all while driving innovation in the media space. The Senior Marketing Manager will work with Microsoft partners around the world to ensure the global strategy is being executed on a local level. The position also requires development of the measurement and learning plan across the globe and oversight of the US media plan development
.
o Responsibilities:

o Builds strong relationships with the Surface and PC Product Marketing Teams to understand business objectives, product and overall marketing plan
o Development and implementation of Global Strategic Approach
o Builds Measurement and Learning Plan for campaign
o Encourages and implements test-and-learn and innovation in plans that deliver on campaign goals
o Manages media agency relationships and their work on in-market campaigns
o Ensures on-time delivery of media campaigns by overseeing campaign activation teams in partnership with the media agency
o Accountable for planning Surface and PC campaigns to stay within budget
o Supports team ongoing learning and media innovation experiences
Preferred qualifications
o 6-8 years media experience within a media agency or client-side
o College BA required, MBA a plus
o Experience working across all media channels including Broadcast TV, Online video, Digital, Social, Search, OOH and Print, etc.
o Experience using data-driven media tactics including advanced targeting, programmatic buying, and addressable TV
o Must have proven competency working across diverse teams with varied business goals in preparation for working across a matrix of internal and external stakeholders
o Strong communication experience a plus
o Global media knowledge a bonus but not required
o Experience using Microsoft technology and devices required
o Ability to be agile and work in a fast paced environment
o Believes that success is not only an accountability of the individual but of the team
o Passionate for learning about different global cultures and media environments
o Eager to challenge the media landscape

Deliver thought leadership through deep understanding of digital space:
Author Digital strategy across Microsoft Consumer Global Advertising campaigns - inclusive of developing & implementing a data management strategy & measurement plan
Consolidate & Aggregate new or existing media data to tell a story about media's role in the marketing
Partner with Research, Creative, Data & Analytics team in conjunction with Media Planning team to develop Measurement & Learning plan across Global Media - providing key insights for future initiatives
Develop a POV on what programmatic model is best to deliver long range business impact for Microsoft
Drive & evolve best-in-class Digital Stewardship programs leading to more efficient & effective global campaigns in market
Develop & Lead a media charter on Data management & which platform would be beneficial to multiple teams across Microsoft - i.e. enabling all advertising campaign through the line connections across product groups & subsidiaries.
Management of and collaboration with agency of record on: strategy, innovation, data management & learning plans
Consult on initiatives for other key marketers & decision-makers as needed

Preferred qualifications
10+ year's media experience within an agency or client-side - trading desk & research experience a plus
College BA required
Subject matter expert on the evolving programmatic media landscape, ad tech solutions & digital media (Brand & DR)
Strong understanding of various marketing channels

Ability to apply outstanding collaboration and influence skills across organizations and functions
