Senior Website Marketing Manager, Cloud and Enterprise Marketing Team

The Cloud and Enterprise web team (www.microsoft.com/cloudplatform http://www.community.microsoftadvertising.com>) is looking for an experienced website marketing manager. This position will work closely with business stakeholders across C+E to help form the strategy for new "microsite" solution experiences, play an integral role in the TechNet vNext web strategy and support day to day Cloud Platform site management.

OUR TEAM:
The C+E web team has a vision to create world class websites by inspiring, educating, and supporting customers through their online experience. Our charter is to manage and continually optimize the WW Cloud Platform website http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/server-cloud/> and Azure web site http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/> to drive engagement, trials and return visits.

We are a fast paced group with global stakeholders and an outstanding development team. We put a focus on getting things done, simplifying anything and everything, and having fun doing it. You will be in the middle of it all helping to make decisions that impact our resources, timelines, and global web experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The right candidate for this role will have a content publishing background with project and product management experience, and release planning understanding.

You should have strong project management skills and cross-team collaboration skills. You should be able to think analytically, as well as, strategically across the business and platforms, and understand how to influence other teams to drive commitments. The role will include partnership with marketing stakeholders, development team (outsourced), product management and the content publishing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Build and Manage new "solution micro sites" that helps take stand alone "services" to market in an integrated E2E
o Manage International content/sites which includes international communications, content. management for market sites, working with subsidiaries, running monthly meeting. Work with subsidiaries on market specific projects. Manage LOC team and relationship.
o Collaborate with C+E stakeholders to continuously improve the live site service and deliver best-in-class learning, trial, and purchase experiences.
o Interact with business stakeholders (product marketing, product management, CSI etc.) to obtain, clarify, and verify requirements for projects. Define and track success metrics.
o Build out new pages within our platform and tool set. Content management of a subset of Cloud Platform pages (Events, Case Studies, etc.).
o Ensure customer and business data drives all plans, activities, decisions, analysis.
o Serve as the liaison for the TechNet vNext Strategy vteam.
o Examine new strategy for post-sales/support content and act as primary TechNet Web Liaison.

QUALIFICATIONS:

o Has mastered key aspects of business-driven Web publishing (strategy, content, and project management) for multiple audiences
o 5 years content publishing or site management experience
o Demonstrated ability to think strategically, execute effectively, work under deadline pressure and manage multiple projects, in some cases, across multiple time zones and platforms
o Proven effectiveness in working within a large company to gain commitment and support for projects and initiatives
o Is comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously amid ambiguity and without direction, and to forge partnerships and drive for results at all levels of Microsoft.
o Project Management experience in a highly independent, but collaborative environment

This position requires a mix of Site Management, Publishing, International Website Management, PMing, as well as experience in balancing stakeholder desires with overarching business goals, budget, and resources.

The Developer Platform marketing group is responsible for creating business strategies and go to market plans to increase adoption and sales of Microsoft's development tools, technologies and services across the global developer and technical decision maker audiences. The Digital Marketing Manager will be accountable for:
Defining our vision and strategy for our web experience to engage with existing Microsoft developers and attract new developers across www.visualstudio.com http://www.visualstudio.com/>, www.microsoft.com/net http://www.microsoft.com/net>and other key Microsoft developer and technical decision maker properties.
Identify opportunities to increase customer acquisition and engagement based on product offerings and roadmap, industry best practices and data-driven insights.
Partner closely with folks across marketing, design, and engineering to define shared goals, build our content roadmap and execution plans to build a compelling, modern web experience.
Serve as the digital marketing expert to bring together strategy and investments related to SEO and SEM, social and campaign and web analytics tools.
Collaborate with marketing team members to integrate campaign goals and activities into the overall digital strategy.

Role Readiness Prerequisites
5-10 years of developer marketing or product management experience
Digital marketing experience related to web site, social, search engine optimization and marketing strategy and execution
Excellent communication skills with experience in leading technical and non-technical discussions with engineers about web site strategy based on product strategy, customer needs and industry best practices.
Understanding of Microsoft developer tools and platforms.
A bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science or some related discipline is required.
A profound sense of ownership and accountability is absolutely required alongside the ability to influence, inspire large and sometimes skeptical audiences.
