Within Microsoft, the mission of the Global Advertising team is to bring together the disparate narratives and campaigns across the Microsoft portfolio of products and services into one cohesive, connected set of stories told through a consistent, recognizable campaign creative platform. Our focus in the near term will be to highlight the amazing things people can accomplish with Windows 10 devices, focus on overcoming barriers to purchase, and strengthen key reasons to believe in our products. In addition, we will support our goal of being a Mobile first, Cloud first company through the Microsoft Cloud campaign.

Your Responsibilities as a Sr. Global Advertising manager:

This job sits in the Global Advertising Strategy & Planning team. Our goals include: informing strategic decision making and enabling seamless execution and WW management across our advertising and messaging. We manage this through core planning, communications, integration and field & asset management. In this role, you will have exposure to the multiple aspects of the Advertising discipline: Creative, Partner marketing, Media, Digital, etc, working across the team to build initiatives and landing them with strong content and guidance WW.

Some of your core responsibilities will include:

- Leverage customer, competitive, and media insights to drive advertising strategy and decision making
- Partner closely with the market research and DnA teams to regularly assess advertising performance and work together to publish campaign insights and enable next steps and actions with creative leads.
- Transform data analysis and numerical findings into crisp, concise insights, which span executive communications to key leaders at the company to tailored presentations for global conferences worldwide.
- Collaborate closely within the team across creative and media leaders to track media spending results, advertising messaging, results and rotation worldwide across all products, for a more effective business outcome.
- Partner with the product marketing, finance, and research teams to drive fiscal year planning, including market prioritization and advertising budget allocation.
- Drive the creation of the Global Advertising and Media plan with the leadership team, which includes both Consumer and Commercial plans and execution guidelines and prioritization for internal audiences.

- Strong quantitative skills and experience working with Research & Finance teams
- Proven experience in preparation and delivery of executive level and field presentations
- 10+ years' experience in business planning, advertising, outbound marketing, consulting, and/or market research
- Ability to add strategic insight to projects that you are involved in
- Ability to get work done effectively across multiple stakeholders and collaborate well with others
- A strong drive for results, often delivering under tight deadlines
- A team player with the ability to work with all levels of individuals within the company
- Excellent problem solving skills, strong process and coordination skills, initiative, and a strong willingness to dive in and make things happen.

The Global Advertising Team manages the two advertising campaigns across Cloud and Consumer. We have an exciting opportunity open on our Global, Digital Advertising Team focused on social and mobile advertising campaigns.

The Role
The social and mobile advertising role on the team will manage the paid social and mobile campaigns across Windows, Windows Phone, and Surface both in the US and across select campaign markets. In this role you'll work closely with partners across the digital team, with partners in the markets and in the product groups, and closely with the creative agency and media team.

Core Job Responsibilities
- Drive social and mobile campaign strategy and execution throughout the year across campaigns
- Build strong partnerships across the product groups and PR to keep them informed on campaigns and ensure tight integration across channels
- Work across global partners to execute campaigns and share strategy
- Ensure tight alignment with media plans and media team
- Manage tic tocs for campaigns, keeping relevant social leads up to speed on campaign launches
- Scope and sell-through to leads new social channels to be included in campaigns (e.g. Snapchat, etc)
- Build and manage war rooms as necessary for certain campaigns, ensuring that we have social coverage in responding to consumers
- Closely monitor social trends and social campaigns to integrate ideas into the larger campaign frameworks
- Social reporting and articulation of contribution to business results

Qualifications
- BA/BS required
- 5+ years of social and mobile marketing experience required
- 3+ years of agency creative management
- Understanding of the media opportunities within social and mobile channels
- Self-starter who can manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
- Ability to drive strong results and own projects end-to-end
- Strong project manager
- Ability to use impact and influence to drive campaign success across the business

The Role
The performance marketing role on the team will manage campaigns that drive third party app downloads in the Windows Store. This role will also drive any demand gen campaigns specific to offers. In this role you'll partner with media to build the campaign strategy and you'll also drive the creative strategy and execution. Before the campaigns launch, you'll build test and learn plans and throughout the campaigns you'll focus on creative optimizations, A/B, and multi-variant tests. You'll partner closely with the creative agency and the media team to ensure you are maximizing impact and hitting the campaign goals.

Core Job Responsibilities
- Build the campaign strategies for performance marketing campaigns in partnership w/ media
- Drive the development of creative for the campaigns in partnership with the agency
- Manage campaigns while in market, optimizing creative to hit campaign goals
- Build strong partnerships across the apps team and media team
- Manage the creative agency, providing them w/ direction and feedback to ensure alignment with strategy and campaign goals
- Build test plans for the campaigns along w/ an output post campaign on learnings and results, focused on the creative
- Share results across the team, showcasing the learnings
- Drive impact by evolving performance marketing by considering customer loyalty
- Understand the full lifecycle of the customer in the Windows Store
- Keep a pulse on apps marketing and competitive app stores

Qualifications
- BA/BS required
- 5+ years of performance marketing (along with campaign optimization) experience required
- 3+ years of agency creative management
- Proven track record of campaign optimization
- Strong ability to analyze campaign data and provide business insights
- Self-starter who can manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
