If yes, we may have your next big opportunity! We're seeking a driven, innovative and experienced event marketer to lead our program and events/workshops for Microsoft retail stores.

This is a fast paced role and working environment that requires creativity, people skills, passion for the details, and the ability to develop and drive event strategies and deliver impactful communications to management and our stores. The role provides the freedom to pilot new ideas to achieve business goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead and orchestrate the planning and execution of all program and workshop events across Microsoft retail stores (over 100 B&M stores); partner with other Microsoft field and product teams.
- Primary event focus on Educational, Small Business and Community/Non-Profit events, including seasonal and sustainable event series.
- Drive event planning, strategies and execution toolkits with local business owners (community event specialists), including defined metrics and reporting, internal evangelism, PR, digital and partner integration, and on-site execution plans.
- Develop and own event work back schedules to ensure operational efficiencies and to manage escalation paths.
- Oversee event budgets to ensure sound financial decisions and investments.
- Contribute content for internal communications including T-minus e-mails, field/store communications for managed activities.
- Drive the work stream process for each event, including content /messaging, partner integration, demos, retail, brand & campaign.
- Establish and report on event metrics. Conduct business and ROI analysis of the programs pre, during and post event.
- Successfully manage key marketing program resources including playbooks, resource kits, digital elements, social media, email, advertising & PR, with key retail resources from creation through fruition.
- Partner closely with the Community Development Specialists (in-store Event Managers) to roll out the Programs and Events to the stores

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Significant event marketing experience: 5-7+ years of related experience in event, marketing communication disciplines, demand generation or integrated marketing.
- Experience in event marketing preferably in a technology, CPG or retail organization.
- Knowledge of current B2B and B2C event industry trends.
- History of managing complex projects and virtual teams, superior organizational skills, and the ability to work against tight deadlines.
- Prior experience managing vendor and agency resources
- Influence and works effectively across all levels and remain calm and positive under pressure.
- Positive public representative for Microsoft to outside organizations.
- Self-motivated and able to work on long-term projects with limited direction.
- Excellent decision-making, problem solving and negotiating skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Thrive in a fast paced, dynamic, public facing environment.
- Strong capacity for leading change, dealing with ambiguity and providing creative solutions
- BA degree required, or equivalent experience.
