Sr. Manager, CEO Communications

We are looking for a talented storyteller to join the newly formed Image Communications team as we work to shift perceptions of Microsoft through great storytelling via physical events, digital properties, and executive voices. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in creating the center of gravity for storytelling excellence at Microsoft and create compelling, impactful communications for the biggest company moments of the year.

In this role, you'll be a key member of the Microsoft CEO, Exec & Finance Communications team which leads our communications work via executive voices, including CEO communications (in close partnership with Caitlin McCabe on Jill Tracie's team who is accountable for Satya's breadth and social communications internally and externally), SLT community management, Finance, investor and M&A comms, and internal employee events such as Company Forum.

You will report to the CEO Communications lead and focus on content development for CEO presentations at key company events/moments in partnership with the broader MS Image team (Steve Clayton's team), product marketing teams across the company and other key stakeholders in Corporate Communications.

Duties include:
- Collaborate with the CEO Communications lead to develop speech content for key company events/moments, from ideation and outline to finished speech
- Researching speech subject matter, audiences, and technologies to build effective presentations and speeches
- Collaborating with product marketing teams from across the company to flesh out speech concepts with actual content
- Partnering with product marketing and sales to find great customer stories that support our messaging objectives for specific events
- Drafting briefing documents and other background materials to ensure the CEO is properly prepared for each speech
- Building PowerPoint presentations in partnership with the Executive Presentations team
- Assisting with writing of scripted speeches
- Managing work back schedules
- Liaising with internal and external event staff to supervise setup and operation of onsite production logistics

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years in marketing or communications at Microsoft
- Strong project management skills, as you will often be working on multiple speeches simultaneously
- Strong written communications skills to author scripted speeches and communications
- Strong presentation, speech writing and/or PR content development experience
- Proven ability to listen and collaborate well - building a company-wide network, gathering requirements and incorporating feedback from event owners
- Shows the utmost discretion in the management of confidential corporate information

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong product management background and technical knowledge / capacity
- Experience researching and analyzing technical, business, and financial data
- Track record of successfully coordinating efforts of multiple teams to develop a coherent message
