Extensive knowledge of ISO 27001/27002 standards and related assessment methodologies
CISSP, SANS certifications, Microsoft technology certifications and other security certifications are desired
Familiarity with global privacy regulations and compliance methods
Sound program management, analysis, problem resolution, team building, judgment and decision making skills
Microsoft Office skills at an advanced user level

The successful candidate for the Sr. IT Service Engineer (Information Security) role will engage in a consulting/advisory role with both internal clients and Microsoft Enterprise customers to asses, develop and architect secure solutions. The Sr. Security PM will contribute expertise to broad areas including SDL tasks such as threat models, design reviews and security assessments as well as help drive architectural decisions including developing systems for Azure, Windows Marketplaces and emerging marketplaces such as Sharepoint, Office and Yammer.

The candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and real world mitigation steps to identified information security risks. The successful candidate will be required to carry out technical assessments to identify security findings and help determine mitigation strategies and drive fixes to resolution. Understanding of Microsoft technologies, an understanding of application security and/or infrastructure security principles will be valuable experience for the right candidate.

Sr. IT Service Engineer (Information Security) responsibilities:

Work with internal custoemrs to understand their business portfolio and inject appropriate security control to enable a secure posture for the portfolio.
Identify and reduce risk through performing technical assessments and remediation activities.
Perform application security assessments on Microsoft platform developed applications.
Follow all Microsoft services delivery methodology for external engagements, including ACE specific requirements around utilization, quality assurance, consistent delivery and meeting a high bar for customer satisfaction
Geographic scope is the Americas however may require overseas travel. Some travel may be required with most deliveries requiring onsite presence within the continental United States
Must be able to work autonomously as well as in team environments, often in stressful, high impact situations

Requirements/Qualifications and Previous Work and Related Experience (including educational requirements):
3+ Year experience working in an information security professional.
Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related degree.
Knowledge of Application Security Principles and Giudelines.
Knoweldge of Basic operational and infrastructure security principles and guidelines a huge plus.
Understanding of the basics of application development languages such as.NET, C/C++, VB, VB NET, COM, COM+ and DCOM
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are required
Strong analytical and organizational skills are essential and required
Experience in consulting/advisory capacity driving security controls into solution development.
An understanding of ISO31000 standards and related assessment methodologies is desired.
CISSP, CISM, SANS certifications, Microsoft technology certifications and other security certifications a huge plus

MSIT Global Capacity Services team is responsible for provisioning the compute and storage resources into datacenters to service Microsoft IT.

We are looking for a seasoned experienced Sr. Systems Engineer to work in tight partnership with internal and external teams while driving elements of our Datacenter Strategy. This person will focus on the private cloud MSIT virtualization platform used to power internal Line of Business applications. Grow our platform to handle even more workloads which aren't virtualized today, while helping drive existing virtualized workloads to Azure. Member of GFS Catalog Advisory Board responsible for GFS HW Server Standards selection
OEM Compute HW relationship management
Advocate for use of GFS DC standards within MSIT (compute, cabling, process, etc), also advise/consult with engineering teams who have platform perf/capability questions regarding standard HW SKU's.
Capacity Compute subject matter expert for MSIT Private Cloud - on premise VM Compute Platform. Focusing on differentiation (performance, price, scale) and platform capabilities (like HBI Virtualization).
Review non-standard SKU procurement requests (which flow thru our request portal) with a focus on driving standard SKU utilization as appropriate(feedback loop back to Compute Standards requirements)
Represent MSIT with Product Groups(PG) which are working to deliver external compute products which could be applied internally, working to deliver Super Enterprise scale feedback into PG roadmap, while evaluating opportunities for use within MSIT
Cloud Compute SME - partner with PG to align IT compute requirements with PG roadmap, produce and publish comparisons between MSIT Private Cloud with Azure Public Cloud performance data to best advise IT engineering teams to leverage Azure and identify product gaps back to PG. Focus also on compute capacity utilization and planning.

This role requires highly motivated, hands-on and self-starter individual in a fast paced technical environment. This is a high visibility position that requires frequent contact with cross IT technical teams, and leadership. Qualifications include:
