We have an immediate opening on our team for a security penetration testing engineer with primary expertise in operating systems.

Key Responsibilities:
u Plan, research, and execute testing of computer system and applications to simulate real world attacks on Microsoft IT services and infrastructure.
u Assess Microsoft existing security capabilities to detect and respond to emerging threats.
u Outline and document risk impacts in executive summary reports and communications to relevant stakeholders.
u Perform research to stay current with penetration testing tools, methodologies, tactics, and mitigations.
u Develop and maintain penetration testing procedures and methodologies
u Produce high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior executives and external customers.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated technical professional that has a background Red Team/Penetration testing, has strong program management skills, and has excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

u BS or MS in computer science or equivalent experience
u 5+ years of experience in penetration testing/Red Team and security code review experience
u Experience in penetration testing tools: Nessus, NMAP, Metasploit, Burp Suite Pro, etc.
u Strong coding skills including C#, HTML, ASP.NET, understanding of web protocols and technologies
u Strong skills in providing written and verbal presentations to senior executives, executive bodies, and/or government officials
u Demonstrated ability to anticipate and manage change in a highly dynamic environment

This role will also be responsible for assistance and engagement of compliance reviews both internally and those associated with external requests by Software Suppliers.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
Review and/or create the Software Asset Management related policies, procedures, governance and workflows through purchasing to Retirement.
Contribute to development of roadmap and strategy to further mature Internal Microsoft Software Asset Management practices with goals of collaborative efforts in management of Licenses, centralized allocation, reducing risk, increasing accountability, uncovering savings and maintaining control of organizational processes.
Implement and utilize the appropriate tools and methodologies with respect to Software License inventory and procurement by users, and to maintain the accuracy and automation of reporting and asset tracking through internal tools such as System Center Configuration Manager "SCCM"
Proactively manage the license inventory and perform software harvesting based on usage.
Participate in renegotiation of license agreements based on updated software analysis and where applicable in the centralized control of licenses.
Perform internal software audits, to ensure software license compliance standards are being met.
Act as a software compliance subject matter expert, providing guidance and sharing expert advice.
Track, identify and report savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services in working with Global Procurement Group "GPG"
Correspond with business and technology partners to coordinate and fulfill needs in the US and overseas.
Manage the understanding and use rights of Software contracts, purchase requests and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings while partnering with Finance, Procurement and Legal to ensure cross functional alignment.
Support IT Leadership and Finance by collecting information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.

Qualifications:

Job Description:
Server Platform Operation (SPO) is the team that designs and runs Microsoft IT private and public cloud computing infrastructure. SPO is responsible for delivering service, including infrastructure, compliance, operations, and manageability for Microsoft Line-of-Business application around the world. SPO is responsible for engineering, managing, and sustaining Microsoft IT infrastructure services. We design, deploy, monitoring, continuously improve, and respond to high impact service disruption incidents across a range of services in a hybrid cloud computing environments.
The SPO Sustain Engineering team is looking for a Senior Program Manager to help manage programs and projects designed to support and sustain our cloud infrastructure for mission critical Microsoft IT services. The role is ideal for someone who is willing to take on challenge and work at scale in a hybrid cloud computing environment built on a wide range of technologies, including Compute Scale Unit, Azure, SQL, IIS, Storage, Data Protection Service (DPS), and Networking.
As a program manager in Sustaining Engineer you will work with engineers and service managers to initiate and manage a multitude of projects through incubation, completion, and execution phases. You will manage identified sustaining engineering related improvement initiatives. You will make use of your program management and technical skill to manage high business impact programs related to the running of the current and future systems and services. The goal of these programs is to drive availability and reliability improvement and reduction of risk.

Roles and Responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of processes, challenges, problems, and opportunities for sustain engineering service improvement
Manage improvement projects from incubation through execution with focus to optimize operation
Evangelize and communicate new processes and automated solutions to stakeholders
Establish improvement commitments, initiate projects, and drive successful achievement
Develop project work breakdown for projects to meet scheduling and identify required project resources and skills.
Communicate program progress, issues, risks, constraints and success
Work closely with engineers who responsible for design, deploy, and support of Microsoft IT infrastructure.
Collaborate with engineers to capture and document designs and deployments to ensure they meet operational requirements and needs.
Ensure infrastructure systems and services systems are designed or modified to support availability and reliability requirements
Develop key operational metrics that align with strategic objectives and work with engineers, service owners, product groups, and others to improve
Compile and analyze operational statistical data and present trends, gaps, action plans, and incubate projects
Maintaining project status, communication and reporting on projects to customers and management.

Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of program management experience with demonstrated multiple project management capability.
Ability to prioritize competing needs for resources and adapt to priorities. Manage and successfully deliver concurrent mission-critical projects.
Proven ability to motivate disparate teams both direct and indirect to solve issues.
Track record of successful completing projects on time and within budget
Ability to develop detailed project plans for IT projects along with other project managers.
Advanced written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Strong critical thinking and exceptional problem identification and resolution skills.
Knowledge with applications such as MS Project, MS Office, SharePoint.
Working knowledge with the following technologies: Windows Server, Compute Scale Unit, SQL, RAID and SATA, 10GbE network technologies, SCOM, and Data Center infrastructure build specifications.
Comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure service and delivery. Knowledge of with large scale 24x7x365 support service.
Demonstrated track-record of self-directed execution.
BS/BA in Computer Science, engineering, or related field.
PMP/PgMP certification preferred.
MBA or Master's degree is a plus.

As a Program Manager you will manage the intake to our backlog, ensure backlog items are ranked and complete and work with sprint teams to deliver capability. With the shift to virtualized network, storage and compute, you will also coordinate across these Service Engineering disciplines, to deliver the design, the tools team will use to deliver cloud capability.


Primary Responsibilities Include:
o Be the face of the managed code engineering efforts for public cloud enablement in Microsoft IT
o Capture, understand, and deconstruct key customer and infrastructure requirements
o Drive architectural discussions to ensure scalable, performant solutions
o Collaborate with partners and leadership to deconstruct epic/user stories into features
o Deconstruct features into team backlog items, including acceptance criteria and interfaces
o Ensure backlog items can be delivered within a 10d sprint and result in working software
o Coordinate release efforts with the Release PM, to ensure launch and operational success
o Partner with operations and service teams to ensure positive customer experiences

Competencies Required:
o Great collaboration skills, with the ability to present strategy and deliverables to leadership
o Passion for scenario development and emergent design
o Experience with Agile project management and scrum processes
o Technical depth regarding cloud capabilities, managed code development, and the .NET stack
o Understanding of service-oriented architecture and RESTful web services
o Knowledge regarding compute, storage, and network technologies
