Microsoft Event Marketing is seeking an energetic and high caliber individual to take on a Senior Event Marketing Manager role to manage a highly visible portfolio of events. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in working with diverse Microsoft teams such as product marketing, engineering, evidence, advertising, and others to develop unique Repeatable Microsoft Experiences that tell or amplify a Microsoft Cloud First, Mobile First story, are audience centric, and drive business impact.

The candidate will be an experienced event marketer with a solid understanding of event planning, execution and measurement best practices, knowledge and experience with Consumer and Enterprise programs, and experience with profit generating and break-even events models. In this role the Sr. Event Marketing Manager will drive thought leadership, assist in building the event strategy aligned to business objectives to ensure event success and excellence in event marketing execution.

The role will require proven ability to manage the needs of the multiple clients (internal event business owners, team directors, GM, CVPs and others), strategy and execution challenges. Candidate should be able to demonstrate strong proficiency with key role competencies including exceptional communication and organizational skills, a passion for excellence, strong cross-team collaboration abilities, self-motivated and forward looking, , and the ability to work as a part of an extended "virtual" team. Strong technical understanding, and preferably usage of the Microsoft ecosystem including Windows, Windows Phone, Skype, Bing and others. This is an ever changing environment so flexibility, resourcefulness, and strategic influencing are essential.

Responsibilities include:
? Work towards the next and subsequent event implementations
? Design in-person events focusing on customer experience and event objectives to drive business impact and maximize return
? Create and gain support for shared vision across multiple stakeholder teams and provide confident leadership to teams influencing recommended business outcomes
? Assist in building the event strategy and event goals to ensure event success
? Development of value propositions and packages for attendee acquisition and partner participation
? Project management including (but not limited to) budget management, revenue generation, accounting, venue selection, vendor sourcing and management, project plan management, event promotion and registration, on-site event management, event measurement and analytics, prioritization and issue escalation
? Utilize measurement and analytics to deliver event against expected business results and key performance targets
? Expertly lead and manage core planning meetings across marketing groups, driving alignment against shared objectives
? Build and distribute regular pre-event status reports and post-event trip report.
? Work closely with marketing, sales, product teams, PR, and executive management to achieve business goals via event marketing.
? Identify staffing needs, vendors and staff options and selection, team motivation and performance
? Analyze event, industry and competitive data. Utilize meaningful and relevant data to improve effectiveness and efficient of events

This position requires frequent contact with all levels across the company including business groups, senior executives, field marketing groups, and external suppliers.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
? Solid strategic project management (people, money and time) experience and organizational skills including the ability to set and drive requirements across multiple functional areas
? Knowledge and experience with Consumer and Enterprise programs, and experience with profit generating and break-even events models.
? Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills are required.
? Strong technical understanding, and preferably usage, OF the Microsoft ecosystem including Windows, Windows Phone, Office, Skype, Bing and others
? Self-motivated and directed person, requiring minimal supervision for successful assignment completion.

Minimum Qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent work experience.
Minimum five years of event management experience in a business or hi-tech industry
Project Management experience with large budgets, teams and complex schedules
