This position is for an experienced Sr. EMC Design Engineer to be part a team responsible for new product design of innovative products. The responsibilities of this position are focused on design for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). This involves working collaboratively with the cross discipline team of electrical, mechanical and optical engineers to define the design solutions for EMC compliance that ensure meeting schedule and minimizing project risk. You will be responsible for designing electronic circuits, sub-systems, and products to ensure EMC compliance. This requires the ability to quickly learn, analyze and implement low risk product design solutions by formulating best value design approaches. You will also break down complex issues and collaborate across cross functional teams to resolve EMC issues in a timely manner. This position involves working on multiple projects in different phases while balancing priorities and schedule commitments in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:
Minimum BS/MS in Electrical Engineering.
Ten to fifteen years of experience designing, implementing, validating and shipping EMC compliant products of medium to hiplexity and volume.
A solid understanding of core electromagnetic and RF engineering principles.
Proven track record of root cause analysis of EMC issues including but not limited to radiated emissions, radiated immunity, electrostatic discharge, fast transient.
Ability to understand coupling mechanisms a design can have including conductive, inductive (capacitive and magnetic), and radiative.
Grounding and shielding design, decoupling and filtering, transmission line design, antenna structure design avoidance in depth knowledge.
Design for manufacturing, assembly and test are required.
Strong communication skills and must be able to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms.
Enthusiastic, motivated and self-driven.
Domestic and international travel is required
