description - RF Design Engineer
As part of the Xbox Hardware Development
team, the RF Design Engineer
is responsible for implementation of wireless functionality within all devices in the Xbox
360 and Xbox One
product lines. Candidates
for this position must have experience in board-level RF hardware design for commercial wireless products, and have up-to-date working knowledge of the wireless chipsets and product landscape. Position
responsibilities will cover all phases of product development, including concept definition, solution evaluation, design implementation & verification, and transfer to manufacturing.
must also be able to interface effectively with internal and external partner teams, including embedded firmware, software, test, program management, sourcing, and manufacturing. Experience
with external vendor and contractor management is highly desired. Experience

layout); prototype bring-up, test, debug, and characterization; certification & regulatory testing; design for manufacturability and test; and transfer of designs to high volume manufacturing.
- 10+ years of board-level RF design experience for commercial wireless products
shipped commercial wireless products before
knowledge of the Wi-Fi
chipset and product landscape
design for mobile embedded products
engineering evaluation and debug
of 802.11 RF parametric specifications
schematic & PCB
layout design for RF applications
of RF front-end, transceiver and system architecture, components, and specifications
experience with current industry standard RF measurement equipment
level debugging skills and ability to oversee the PCB
of antenna design & integration principles and concept
- B.S. from a four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience (MS preferred)
- Travel Requirements
