The Xbox Kinect and Accessories team is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to play a key role in the development of XBOX Accessories products. Candidates must be self-motivated with a track record in designing and developing analog, digital and embedded designs for high volume consumer electronics market. It is required for the candidate to have effective written and oral communication skills, successful cross-organizational collaboration skills, and excellent technical knowledge having delivered products to mass production.

This position will be responsible for working in a cross functional team to define the system performance, and implement the design for the wireless accessories products of the system. The requirements for such custom solutions reflect the complexity and performance necessary to guarantee the desired user experiences for each application.

You will create and own the design requirements specification. This will provide the architectural, functional and detailed design description, including all necessary parametric data for tracking performance and test definition by firmware and hardware. You will own the detailed design including silicon vendor assessment and selection, digital embedded system, and analog sensors and control.

Additional qualifications include solid digital and analog design skills relating to embedded HW designs including selection and design with CPUs, memory, data acquisition and sensor interfaces. Design responsibility spans all phases of product development from conception definition, prototype to mass production design, verification and release to manufacturing. This position requires knowledge of contemporary protocols and standards for Wireless communications including WiFi and Bluetooth in all applicable modes and profiles. Creating and maintaining evaluation environments that replicate field utilization system setups is expected.

Target Qualifications
BSEE required, MSEE desired
12+ years of experience within the telecommunications industry or commercial wireless products
Demonstrated experience in integrating with cross functional groups including EE, FW, ME, optics and software, internally and externally.
A solid understanding of core engineering principles, circuit design and analysis is required.
Experience with PCB board design and tools, and ability to oversee PCB layouts are a must.
Working knowledge of 802.11 and Bluetooth radios, protocols (MAC and Physical layer) and standards. De-sense engineering evaluation and debug and knowledge of 802.11 RF parametric specifications.
Knowledge of indoor RF propagation channel modeling and creation of link budget calculations for indoor wireless system (2.4GHz and 5GHz)
Knowledge of radio transceiver building blocks (Baluns, LNAs, PAs, Mixers, Filters, Synthesizers, etc.)
Have intimate knowledge of applicable Regulatory and Certification Requirements
Strong communication skills and must be able to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms.
Domestic and International travel is required.
