Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer -- Advanced Sensors Group -- MDG - Microsoft HoloLens

MDG - Microsoft HoloLens Team is continuing to revolutionize consumer electronic devices. We are growing the product development team and looking for experienced device product developers, working in a startup environment on redefining experiences with epic technology innovation.

We are developing ground-breaking hardware, software and experiences across computer vision, machine learning, human-computer interaction, and image and video processing, networking and graphics.

We are looking for an Senior Electrical Engineer that will focus on validation of optical and mems based sensors. The candidate will be responsible for translating design specs into test specs, creating the test infrastructure, test executing, and summarizing and reporting on test results.

The candidate will work closely with the design team, both in helping to inform and support architecture and design decisions, and fully understand the sensor and module level design as well as the product requirements that inform the specifications and design of the sensor sub-system.

It is expected the candidate will work across functional teams like program management, mechanical, optical, and software to pull together a system level approach to validation. The candidate must understand enough about other test disciplines like reliability, EMC, and manufacturing test engineering.

Key Qualifications:

Solid electrical engineering principles

Understanding and familiarity of electrical engineering test equipment

Familiar with electrical engineering design in the areas of power supplies, low and high speed IO, board design, system on a chip designs.

Some software development skills and ability to navigate through software and understand how to enable hardware through the development of test systems to stimulate and exercise the design.

Board level firmware development a plus

Familiarity with mechanical and optical design a plus

Ability to process data and perform statistical analysis on test results

Description:

Core responsibility will include the development and execution of testing of sensors both at the module level and at the system level. Create test documentation like test plans, test reports, and test systems. Deliver management level presentations. If required, the candidate may support large scale manufacturing test operations.

Education:

BS/MS Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Additional Requirements:

Able to travel to other Microsoft facilities as well as global suppliers.
