This position is for a Sr. Electrical Engineer to be part of a team responsible for new product design of an innovative new and innovative product. The position involves successfully working closely with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, firmware engineers, SI/PI engineers, test engineers, component engineers, and program managers.

The responsibilities of this position are focused on specifying, designing, implementing and verifying the product electrical design. This includes owning the part selections, schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM, and cost analysis of the design. The development of the product starts with requirements definition working with cross disciplinary team members. You will then be responsible for evaluating the different solution options for functionality, mechanical/ID design, cost and risk, followed by developing the solution, implementing, verifying, releasing to manufacturing and supporting it in production.

The product designs include CPUs, high speed system busses (MIPI, HiSPI, USB), DDR memory, audio interfaces, system clocking, power and thermal management, wireless radios, antennas, and RF/analog/digital circuitry. The position requires a working knowledge of high speed digital design including controlled impedance PCB stackup design, simulation, high speed PCB design, and in lab validation to correlate simulation results. You will provide layout direction to the CAD team; will work closely with the signal / power integrity simulation engineers. Upon obtaining IO models from our suppliers you will provide input on the simulations to be run, will review results and make necessary design changes before board releases.

This requires the ability to quickly learn, analyze and implement new interfaces and subsystems, break down complex issues and collaborate across cross functional teams to resolve issues in a timely manner. Must be able to plan work, and work to a plan adapting as necessary in a rapidly evolving environment.

-Minimum BS/MS in Electrical Engineering.
-Eight to ten years of experience designing, implementing, validating and shipping products of medium to hiplexity and volume.
-A solid understanding of core engineering principles, circuit design and analysis is required.
-Working knowledge and proven execution of complex high speed digital designs in embedded systems.
-Requires a good understanding of PCB board design and tools, system performance optimization.
-Solid board level debugging skills and the ability to oversee the PCB layout process are a must.
-Design for manufacturing, assembly and test are required.
-Strong communication skills and must be able to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms.
-Enthusiastic, motivated and self driven.
-Domestic and international travel is required
