We are looking for an experienced hardware design verification engineering lead. The qualified candidate will draw upon their experience in leading validation of embedded hardware and real time firmware/software to deliver world class high volume consumer products. The primary responsibility is to lead the development of test cases for board level electrical and performance testing, including validating the electrical design against specifications, performing high speed signal integrity, reset and timing measurements, device embedded firmware validation and device robustness. You will work closely with engineers in your validation team, as well as the EE and FW development team to deliver the product testing framework design and to develop the test cases to make sure there is 100% result correlation with the design requirements. You will also need to manage the project cross functional test progress, identify critical test paths, provide cross team test status reporting, and be directly or indirectly involved in the troubleshooting process.

The qualified candidate must have a track record verifying/testing or designing embedded hardware devices for high volume consumer electronics products. It is expected that you are very familiar with electrical high speed parallel and serial buses, PCB design and standard communication protocols such as USB, I2C, I2S, SPI, etc. You must have hands on experience in test environments and tools such as ICE, oscilloscope, signal generator, network analyzer etc. Strong experience in scripting language/C++ programming is desired. FPGA and audio codec experience is a big plus.

In addition, a successful candidate should have excellent project management skills, validation personnel management experience, very good cross-organizational collaboration skills and profound technical knowledge including test process/case design and development.

Target qualifications:
- BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering (MSEE preferred)
- 8+ (MSEE) or 10+ (BSEE) year experience in designing and testing modern electronics hardware at component, device, and system levels.
- Extensive experience in high speed digital and analog circuit designing, testing and troubleshooting, especially on high resolution camera interfaces, FPGA and audio codec. Proficient in using standard testing equipment.
- Excellent project technical leadership skills, with proven personnel management competency.
- Track-record in hardware prototype bring-up, debug, fault detection, failure analysis, and yield improvement.
- Proven capability to define successful test plans, procedures, and reports which drive product decisions.
- Proven experience in test automation
- Demonstrated experience in integrating with cross functional groups including EE, ME, optics and software, internally and externally.
- Strong English oral and written communication skills.
