Microsoft Services is looking for a Senior Consultant that specializes in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server development who will support our US Department of Defense customers. The role requires both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to architect a solution by mapping a customer business problem to an end-to-end technology solution. Each consulting engagement is customized to serve the client's unique needs. The role requires a technically strong Senior Consultant who is resourceful and confident under pressure.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate passion and proficiency for advanced technologies and strategic business acumen. The consultant must have proven experience delivering SharePoint 2010 development projects, specifically Enterprise Search. The role will also require knowledge of MOSS 2007 to SharePoint 2013.
The Senior Consultant helps customer account teams identify, pursue and close strategic business development opportunities while continually driving add-on business within existing projects. To accomplish this, Consultants must be effective in fostering executive level relationships. They also play a key role in employing and developing partners as part of the overall Microsoft services delivery model. When asked, consultants help translate business requirements into technology requirements for inclusion in contracts and/or statements of work (SOW). The Consultant must have proven experience managing projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing multi-phase/multi-dimensional/multi-resource projects to conclusion while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Building upon solid IT project experience relative to their level, consultants will work with Microsoft's partners and US Government Customers to assist in:

Qualifications and Experience:
o Understanding and experience with the .NET 2.0 and 3.0 framework.
o Experience with the C# programming language and object-oriented programming.
o Experience with Visual Basic.NET or other .NET programming languages is helpful.
o Understanding and experience with Microsoft Windows and other Microsoft technologies.
o Experience developing Microsoft Office based solutions (MOSS experience preferable).
o Experience developing database applications using SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2000.
o Experience with Oracle or DB2 is helpful.
o Experience developing interoperable solutions with Unix/Linux and/or Java using web services, COM/Java interoperability and technologies, and/or TCP/IP sockets is desirable.
o Debugging skills; ability to debug system-wide technical problems in unfamiliar areas.
o Ability to diagnose and correct performance problems.
o Excellent oral and written communications skills.
o Ability to engage in executive and senior-level technology discussions.

Education: College degree, preferably in Computer Science, is required. MCSE strongly preferred. Will consider related field (or equivalent) experience.
The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen who will be required to hold a US Government Security Clearance. The position is based in the Miami Florida area; local candidates are strongly preferred. The selected candidate must be able to start within 30 days of offer acceptance.
