Standard Job Title: Sr. Marketing Communications Manager
It's a pivotal time as Worldwide Licensing & Pricing (WWLP) is transforming Microsoft's $45B+ commercial volume licensing business. As we implement massive licensing change worldwide the stakes are high. We need a seasoned communicator and thought leader, expert on executive and employee communications, who can craft a unified story to inform stakeholders, engage team members, inspire action and drive change. This person will be a core member of the CVP's team, operating at the highest levels of the company. They must excel at landing messages across spoken, written, and a wide variety of formal and informal presentation formats to reach corporate executives, employees, partners and customers.
Key responsibilities include:
Own the executive communications plan and unified story for Volume Licensing and its transformation, addressing Microsoft corporate executives, partners, end-customers, and WWLP staff
Execute cohesive communications that amplify CVP, WWLP, and company strategic priorities
Monitor impact and results of the communications to drive positive WWLP perception and business impact
Engage across the company with communications peers to leverage storylines, channels and opportunities
Develop CVP speeches, keynotes, public remarks and talking points, including for MGX and WPC
Orchestrate quarterly All Hands that provide strategic direction to and engagement of WWLP employees
Produce quarterly Field Governance Council Memos that communicate WWLP achievement to corp leaders
Partner with the Business Mgmt team on RoB, strategic plans, mid-year review, and external meetings
Solicit the voice of internal and external audiences to drive better, more impactful content and storytelling
Create innovative, on-message presentations, and coach senior leadership in their delivery
Drive visibility and action on WWLP milestones through CVP emails and companywide cascades
Build strong WWLP collaboration and communication through team Sharepoint and Yammer group

Qualifications and skills:
BA required, communications related degree or equivalent experience, MBA preferred
8+ years relevant exec communications experience
Impeccable written/verbal communication skills; skilled at creating a wide variety of presentations
Ability to work effectively at all levels - with exceptional poise and executive maturity
Extensive cross-group collaboration & ability to influence at all levels of the company
Domain knowledge in the software or licensing solutions marketplace
Manages confidentiality without exception; demonstrates outstanding judgment
Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
Power-user of SharePoint, PowerPoint, Lync, Yammer, and other communication technologies
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment; Demonstrated ability to have fun
