The Global Marketing Operations group is a high-performing team of professionals who specialize in the delivery of sales and marketing services globally. The GMO organization has the following five components: 1. Sales and Marketing Service Centers (SMSC) providing high-scale, compliant services to drive world-wide field marketing efficiency and effectiveness. 2. Reporting Insights (SMRI) that enable empowered business decisions through consistent and accurate reporting views in the marketer, partner and sales environments 3. Advanced Analytics (SMAA) provides users with sales optimization through Propensity, Targeting, Segmentation, and Whitespace models 4. Portal Services (SMPS) delivering world-class portal experience and global publishing services to Microsoft's 600,000+ partners 5. Privacy Program (SMPP) centralized and highly efficient field privacy program for SMSG sales & marketing organizations that scales globally, demonstrates Microsoft's commitment and reduces field privacy risks The tenets of GMO are to ensure that business services: o can be extended from self service capabilities to full service solutions o can be leveraged to meet the needs and requirements of all Corporate and Field Teams o are marketer, seller, customer and partner facing o enable end to end campaign planning, execution, tracking and return on investment (RIO) measurement Within this construct, the Sr. BPM Manager, Marketing Automation will be responsible for implementing the Marketing Automation strategy in support of Microsoft's marketing goals. Marketing Automation is key to the success of marketing at Microsoft in this rapidly changing world and includes the end to end automation of marketing from budget & execution planning to campaign execution to lead management, social listening and all the way to developing rich BI/insights. It heavily focuses on running Always On global campaigns with customers at the center. This role will focus on developing a good knowledge of the current marketing processes within Microsoft and of the Dynamics Marketing (MDM) tool. The person will then leverage that knowledge to implement, and drive adoption of MDM which will streamline our marketing workflow. A key part of the job is bridging the gap between non-technical business users who provide the core requirements and the technical capabilities of MDM, with the ability to clearly set expectations and communicate status. This role will also require the ability to completely understand the existing marketing customer journeys and map those to the workflow models in MDM. This role offers a great opportunity to you to really be part of the marketing transformation occurring at the company, which is one of the key strategic initiatives and has long ranging, global scope. It is a very high visibility role in a high visibility effort at the company. Responsibilities: o Be a core member of the cross-functional v team to define the scope, business objectives and required project results for Marketing Automation o Work with MOGS v-team to define best practices, process simplifications and standardization o Drive the requirements and backlog items for the development/enhancement of software solution in partnership with MSIT / MDM Product team to enhance and extend the capabilities of the system based on business need. o Work closely with marketing groups to drive adoption through education, training and support in the use of the digital asset management system. o Evangelize solutions to expand usage and reinvent our marketing operations o Global field deployment of the advanced systems and processes. Competencies: Smart, Creative and Passionate Individual Understanding of the technical data flows in the marketing systems Skills in written and verbal communications; project management; business, systems, ambiguity, and conflict resolution Ability to develop and drive business results with internal stakeholders Ability to evaluate and implement vendor decisions in a professional manner that improves the scale, capabilities and efficiency Advanced conflict-resolution and negotiation skills. Ability to sell and evangelize the service Experience Required: Proven experience managing agency and vendors to deliver high impact business results in a highly dynamic business environment. BA/BS in Operations, Business Management, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering or related degrees. 3+ years' experience in managing marketing programs, and business management experience will be a plus.
