We're looking for an exceptional business program manager to lead the Windows Store developer support program. In this role, you will be leading a vendor team to provide world class engagement and support for our most important publishers and developers in the Windows Store.

Your key responsibilities will include:
1)Drive the strategic planning for operational mechanisms used to provide appropriate support channels, service level response criteria and scalability for the global publisher community
2)Create a coverage plan to proactively touch our top 1,000 un-managed publishers to ensure they are maximizing revenue opportunities from Windows and continually investing in our platform
3)Effectively cross-collaborate with Tier 1-3 support teams to ensure a "one-team" environment that operates inter-dependently and efficiently through a variety of processes and escalation scenarios
4)Drive top issues management reporting to provide valuable insights around the developer experience that will help engineering teams to make informative decisions on issue resolution
5)Champion the developer and publisher experience, from registration to app publishing, to minimize points of friction and influence improvements that will increase their ability to be productive and encourage loyalty to the Windows Store as the app development platform of choice
6)Drive quality assurance with support teams processes, messaging and procedures to ensure responses are professional, empathic, appropriate and actionable when needed
7)Partner with the Consumer Support team to drive support excellence for Windows Store users to create an experience that it is discoverable, provides relevant guidance and quickly resolves issues in a cost efficient manner.

As a qualified candidate you will have to be able to demonstrate:
1)A keen appreciation and passion for developers and their apps
2)Excel in cross group collaboration amongst technical and non-technical teams to achieve positive results for publishers, partners, and customers
3)Proven ability to structure, implement, operate and continuously improve business processes and standard procedures that accommodate and are resilient to evolution and exception
4)Demonstrated ability to innovatively problem solve and overcome complex obstacles that may not have an obvious course of action or have minimal information from which to define a solution
5)Ability to effectively represent issue and outage information to internal teams and in public forums that are both informative and appropriately detailed for the targeted audience
6)Substantial experience in effectively partnering with, supporting and equipping a sizeable globally-scoped sales and field marketing organizations to effectively land program goals.
7)Strong communication skills: you should be a clear, concise and direct communicator (written & verbally), with the ability to actively listen and effectively articulate your point of view and successfully influence and collaborate with others.

Professional Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have a bachelor's degree, at least 4-7 years of software or service product or program management experience, 2+ years of support and/or operations experience and preferably a background in mobile telecommunications or online services.

The Sales Marketing Services Group (SMSG) Compete Operations and Strategy team leads Microsoft?s Compete efforts around the world, working closely with the business and product groups, Segments and with the Field to drive our compete motions across SMSG and the business groups. It also represents the voice of the field on Compete, develops strategic competitive insights and ensures our front line has strong differentiated value propositions and GTM plays.

As we operate in a cloud-first, mobile-first world, we are looking for a smart, creative and effective person to help the company identify and respond to specific competitive challenges that cut across Microsoft's existing product lines and Segments. The goal of this position is to produce the competitive insights - data from customers, partners, the field, engineers, and other sources - that will help management frame the extent of a challenge and then develop Microsoft's appropriate response.

This role will lead competitive strategy projects, managing a virtual team of sales, marketing, and engineering leaders from across the company in evaluating a challenge and then developing Microsoft's appropriate response. This person needs to be able to manage a strategy project; quickly become a subject matter expert in an area; effectively coordinate multiple and potentially competing views from key stakeholders; drive a team towards a single course of action; and then present to senior management in a manner that is believable and actionable.

In many respects, the job involves work normally associated with a consulting firm like McKinsey or Bain, but with much deeper internal Microsoft and industry context.

Experience:
Candidates should have senior level experience along with over 10 years in technology industry marketing, product development, or sales. Previous experience with a strategy consulting firm is a plus. BS/BA required; MBA/Master's degree preferred. This position has regular contact with senior Microsoft executive management along with management from customer and partner organizations.

o Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-management skills. Ability to thrive and influence in a matrix organization

Minimum Requirements:
o 8 years marketing, product development, or sales experience
o Technology industry experience
