As the Cloud & Enterprise business, and Microsoft in general, make the shift to services and mobile, this role will play a key role in helping C+E understand our performance on this journey. The Strategic Marketing Intelligence Team's (SMIT) charter is to provide insights, forecast and measure the performance of C&E products and their representative markets. Our work is used to influence C&E business strategy including product roadmaps, pricing and marketing decisions. We are seeking an exceptional business influencer to lead our effort in measuring market performance and forecasting in support of running the C+E businesses.

Primary Responsibilities:

The position will have primary ownership for C+E market performance measures including working with Finance, area leads, segments and SMSG reporting teams to ensure accurate reporting and understanding. He/She will be a major participant in determining C+E's market performance and actions to be taken to improve performance. He/She will also have the following responsibilities:

- Manage ROB market performance reporting and forecasts for C+E, SMSG and Finance (e.g. Sub Scorecard, Share Dashboard, etc.).

- Server shipment/IB forecasting:

o Manage and the bi-annual server forecast process including forecasting several Areas.
o Manage the Long Range Forecast deliverables and processes including communicating finding and educating senior management regarding the impact to C+E products and services.

- Manage field/segment relationship in partnership with C+E Field Ops and in developing field/segment performance metrics including MYR deliverable execution.

- Manage internal data and external data providers to ensure data accuracy and timely delivery. This includes determining new data sources and fielding techniques based on business needs.

- Work with Finance in correctly applying market data to financial analysis' and reporting including CFO reports, Long Range Planning, quarterly performance reporting, fiscal year planning

Experience:

- Understanding of financial processes and field ROB processes.

- Experience working with data models, statistical tools and BI technologies (e.g. PowerBI, R, SAS). Stats and/or applied mathematical background a plus.

- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, as well as demonstrated strategic thinking.
