Category Manager, Public Sector The Developer Experience and Evangelism (DX) organization is looking for a Category Manager who will establish category thought leadership for Public Sector, including Education and Healthcare, to ensure differentiated go-to-market programs for our ISV partners.

You will be responsible for ensuring Public Sector ISV partners are most successful on our modern platform, while owning the overarching strategy for how this will be achieved.

You will be responsible for unifying cross-company efforts and leading the internal stakeholders in a consolidated vertical ISV strategy across global and emerging partners.

You will work with internal and external teams to influence offers, programs and promotion activities that drive success for Public Sector partners.

You will ensure success by showcasing our partner's solutions with key industry influencers and at Tier 1 industry events.

You will ensure our Marketplace meets the needs of Public Sector partners in order to drive ROI and success of partner's solutions. The ideal candidate will have Public Sector experience (including Education and Healthcare) and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills with a combination of business development and product management expertise.

In this role, you would be responsible for:
o Creating a strategic plan for Public Sector ISVs designed to accelerate the ROI for partners developing solutions on Microsoft's platforms
o Evangelizing our Public Sector ISV partner thought leadership and differentiation at internal and external forums
o Identifying new GTM programs and Marketplace enhancements based on feedback from partners and industry influencers
o Collaborating closely with marketing, developer teams, and partner organizations to drive discoverability and awareness of Public Sector partner solutions
o Working with global field and marketing teams to ensure Public Sector partner solutions are promoted in relevant regions
o Delivering ongoing industry, trend identification, and competitive insights to the organization o Having exceptional professionalism and executive presence in dealing with both internal and external senior leaders

The ideal candidate will have:
o Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing and sales or business development with a proven record of influencing and defining partner programs to grow new businesses.
o Industry Expertise: Extensive experience working with customers and partners in Public Sector.

Technical Skills:
-Experience in Cloud computing and Mobile industries, with an understanding of industry technologies, business drivers, and emerging trends. Deep knowledge and passion for driving adoption of Microsoft Mobile and Cloud technologies.

Professional Skills:
-Executive presence and a proven record of building trusted relationships with and influencing senior executives. Exceptional leadership and community building skills.

-Cross-group collaboration skills with exceptional verbal and written communication. Highly motivated, results-driven with exceptional decision-making and follow through. Strong organization / prioritization and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent discipline required. MBA preferred.
