Within Microsoft, the mission of the Consumer Advertising team is to bring together the disparate narratives and campaigns across the Microsoft portfolio of products and services into one cohesive, connected set of stories told through a consistent, recognizable campaign platform. Our focus in the near term will be to highlight the Windows experience in advertising, to focus on overcoming barriers to purchase, and to strengthen key reasons to believe across TV, Print, Out-of-Home (OOH), and Digital executions.

Your Responsibilities as Advertising Lead on the Consumer Advertising Team
Your job will be to drive Windows advertising executions across TV, Print, OOH, and other mediums.

You will have exposure to senior executives across the Marketing organization and will manage key relationships with our creative agencies. You are at the center of advertising at Microsoft where you will partner closely with the Product Marketing, Finance, and Research teams internally as well as agencies and other partners outside of the company.

Day to day, our world looks like this: we work under tight deadlines, jump on planes to collaborate with teams in NY, LA, and other cities around the globe, craft compelling stories that will resonate with consumers, demonstrate thoughtfulness in campaign development, and exhibit resourcefulness in gathering requirements, input, and feedback. It is crucial that you have the ability to know how to get things done and how to manage a complex web of stakeholders.

Experience Requirements

This role requires a seasoned marketer with 10+ years of marketing experience, preferably in advertising and/or campaign development, and extensive experience working with or for an agency, preferably one that has produced award-winning creative and worked for large brands. Strong written and verbal skills are necessary, as you be expected to build trusted, two-way partnerships with outbound stakeholders and lead successful cross-company v-teams on a regular basis.
