Have you ever walked in to a retail store and played with an Xbox interactive display or spoken with a knowledgeable retail sales person about Microsoft products? The corporate Worldwide Retail Channel Marketing (WWRCM) organization is responsible for delivering great retail experiences like those for all of Microsoft's consumer products (Windows, Windows Phone, Surface, Office and Xbox) through third party Retail Field Labor teams that transform Retail Sales Professionals (RSPs) into passionate Microsoft product advocates, install interactive displays and visual merchandising assets, and deliver memorable training and demonstrations to customers and RSPs to increase product sales.
We are looking for a WW Retail Field Labor Manager with deep retail experience, vision and the tenacity to challenge the status quo in order to drive global best in class field labor programs in partnership with Channel teams in 50 countries. We need someone who's self-motivated, wants to play on a team that's blazing a new trail and won't rest until we become the envy of our competitors at retail.
Discipline Scope
- Act as the trusted day to day Field Labor contact for Channel, Category,
internal support teams (visual merchandising, demo & evangelism), and
subsidiary-based Field Labor managers.
- Collaborate across partner groups to gather retail execution requirements
and provide excellent scalable guidance to the field.
- Partner with the field to gather and drive continuous Field Labor Best
Practices, helping make global guidance locally relevant.
- Partner with ExpertZone Community Manager to ensure Demand Gen
programs are executed at retail by Field Labor team and RSPs are
completing and retaining training content.
- Develop and maintain Field Labor resource materials and SharePoint site.
- Develop monthly reports to communicate field labor updates and global
retail insights.

- Strong leadership skills and a history of turning low performing teams into
world-class high performance organizations.
- Strong determination and ability to deal with ambiguity and challenge
traditional ways of doing things.
- High collaborative capacity and social skills - demonstrated practice of
including stakeholders in activities that impact them and ability to build
consensus among stakeholders with different interests (locally and
internationally).
- Impeccable attention to detail, excellent organization and ability to
effectively manage multiple projects.
- Comfortable with proactively and routinely sharing forward-thinking
insights.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of retail, retail field labor or retail channel marketing experience.
- Deep understanding of retail with specific experience in the discipline of
Field Labor.
- Demonstrated experience developing and communicating efficient work
plans for complex projects involving many groups; effectively implement
and coordinate these plans.
- Executive presence a must. Candidate should possess a strong ability to
communicate effectively and concisely.

Deploying outstanding Retail Field Labor teams gives Microsoft the biggest opportunity to overcome the challenges of a fast-paced competitive environment at retail, and the Retail Engagement Program (REP) Tool is the primary vehicle for how we communicate prioritized retail guidance to those teams, and receive the daily state of retail execution globally, in real-time.

Discipline Scope

o Establish and drive an overall roadmap strategy that delivers a best in class Retail Engagement Program Tool that's integrated with a state of the art learning management system (ExpertZone) database.
o Deliver feature specs with end to end requirements and business scenarios.
o Develop mechanisms to identify, track, aggregate and prioritize feature requirements and change requests from global field and corporate stakeholders for the REP Tool.
o Establish and manage a community beta test program that aligns to beta & release schedules.
o Provide evangelism and scenario based training to ensure field readiness and optimal usage of the REP Tool.
o 25% International travel

o A strategic thinker with demonstrated business acumen, strong analytical and communication skills.
o Successful track record in interacting with senior business partners and executives.

Qualifications

o Had at least one shipping cycle (planning to release) for products or services in an engineering group.
o Demonstrated program management discipline excellence.
o Computer science degree
