Do you want to be part of the team that is driving public relations for the launch of Windows 10? Heralded as "ambitious, yet realistic", the embodiment of a "new Microsoft", and the underlying platform for innovations stretching from 84" screens to no screens, Windows 10 will usher in a new generation of more personal computing.

Offering technologies including Cortana across devices, an entirely new Web browser, a host of new universal apps, Xbox experiences, and more, Windows 10 is perhaps the most innovative new operating system from Microsoft ever. With over 1.5 billion customers using Windows today, a free upgrade will be offered to the majority of these customers, as Microsoft aspires for the world to love Windows. Windows 10 will span across devices, including PCs, tablets, phones, Surface Hub, the Internet of Things and will even support holograms, with the breakthrough device HoloLens. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team responsible for launching Windows 10.

The Windows PR team is seeking a PR lead for Windows 10 Apps and Services, including Cortana, the new web browser, photos, maps, and more, along with leading integration for Windows with other Microsoft apps including Office, Bing and Skype. This role will ideally be filled by a creative storyteller, who can create compelling product stories and complementary media strategies.

For these Windows 10 product areas, this role will be responsible for driving an innovative PR strategy to connect with consumers and win their affinity for Windows and Windows powered devices. The ideal candidate is creative, has a strong background in driving successful PR or marketing campaigns for consumer products, has excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills, showcases savvy leadership with executives and teams of all sizes, and is proficient in the development of strategic communications plans.

Job description includes:
- Deliver winning PR strategy for Windows 10 Apps and Services, grounded in product truths and the Windows 10 brand promise
- Develop PR plans for Cortana, the new web browser, and other key Windows 10 Apps and Services; integrate with other teams like Bing and Skype to support their efforts in conjunction with Windows 10
- Develop content, including blog posts, on a variety of topics to drive ongoing conversation for Windows 10 Apps and Services
- Deeply engage with media across tech, enthusiast, and business press to showcase and demonstrate Windows 10 Apps and Services
- Identify strategic influencers for specific target audiences and develop strong plans for connecting with these audiences via PR tactics
- Play a critical role in planning the launch of Windows 10; ensuring hero product features and scenarios are showcased for media, leading to broad coverage
- Showcase a willingness and desire to assist with other key projects and PR stories that develop in the fast-paced, nimble Windows organization
- Represent Microsoft as a product spokesperson at numerous events around the world
- Create materials and other content to aid other Microsoft PR counterparts around the world to promote Windows 10
- Manage PR agency resources for maximum effectiveness, leading multiple resources to be integral members of the extended team
- Be an integral member of the Windows PR team, participating in cross-team PR strategy
- Partner closely with partners in marketing and partner PR teams across Microsoft to inform product news strategy.

Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience in public relations; or strong background in marketing or storytelling
- Experience working with marketing teams and partnering closely on integrated campaigns
- Experience delivering product demo's and presentations to small groups and large audiences
- Executive presence and professional maturity
- Storytelling capabilities and key message creation skills, including writing blog posts
- Proven ability to lead and mange cross-group teams and virtual teams, including agencies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with diverse personalities
- Self-starter and can-do attitude a must
