Production Studios is a world class production and post-production facility wholly owned by Microsoft and located just off main campus. We are looking for a visionary and self-motivated Post Production Lead who excels in production leadership and support in relation to live tele-production broadcasting and post-production. A successful candidate should understand the complexities of building, maintaining, and growing our professional broadcasting facility as well as enhancing our production capabilities. This position is a part of a larger team of media professionals that seek to inspire and influence the broader Microsoft culture.

The Post Production Lead develops and maintains the different technical components as well as the customer and support role relationships that make up the facility's post-production infrastructure ensuring it meets current and future business requirements. The business requirements are established by the Facility Director, LOB manager and/or Service Lead.

Viewed as a lead position, understanding and guiding the relationships within the production pipeline throughout the facility, managing the technical aspects of Post Production in tandem with supporting and guiding the support staff through our Post Production Systems with a heavy emphasis on customer relationship and support.

Responsible for timely integration of hardware and/or system software being conscious of business interruptions, cost factors and customer satisfaction with the understanding of the overall impact on facility short and long term goals.

The Post Production Lead is required to have great communication, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills. This includes good conflict resolution and clear decision-making skills, interacting with various groups to solve their business needs, accountable for project management and coordination of support staff in order to accomplish project outcome.

Core Position Responsibilities:
o Create and manage sought after client experiences that result in high levels of client satisfaction, project efficiency and media quality
o Translating Microsoft business goals into outcomes through innovative production solutions
o Carrying out Problem Management root cause analysis based on system monitoring, performance counters, reliability measurements, and support incidents to reduce infrastructure errors and improve efficiencies
o Understand in deep technical detail how each managed system in post-production functions from the operational tier perspective
o Tracking facility technical issues and reporting/correcting any issues;
o Assessment of post-production system performance and efficiencies in relation to short and long term business needs
o Driving performance improvements and efficiencies based on business needs
o Responsible for project management on driving the overall post-production project requirements and technical project aspects
o Leading the development and implementation of Post Production system architecture and design
o Timely status reporting in good detail of ongoing efforts and service impacting events and productions
o Driving and communicating through documentation for new or existing applications in line with Production Studios standards
o Installing, configuring, updating and maintaining hardware and Software; replacing failed hardware and addressing system problems
o Meet all requirements for Microsoft training, commitment setting, and midyear growth plans

A successful candidate will possess most of the following skill set requirements:
o 10 + years professional post production and customer relationship experience
o Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
o Customer relationship management experience
o Technical support role management and leadership
o Professional post production facility specific experience
o Professional post production systems and workflow development experience
o Professional Color Management processing and workflow design
o Professional effects and graphical overlay experience in relation to "Motion Design"
o Live Broadcasting Systems and Workflow Management in relation to Network Storage capture and data transfer/management
o Comprehensive editing skills and experience across multiple platforms ( Avid, Final Cut, Adobe )
