With fourteen stores open and more to come, the Microsoft Retail Stores team is looking for a dynamic, self-starter who can blend the skills of big, strategic thinking, with those of operational excellence to help establish the rhythm of this retail startup.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop product forecasts and item life cycle management to ensure MS Store can realize our revenue and profit goals. Demonstrated by achieving an In Stock Percentage of 99.0%, and a mark-down rate of no more than 9%.
- Develop and maintain the 6 month rolling forecasts for a given product category (PC's, Phones, Gaming, PC Accessories). This forecast will be revised and analyzed weekly.
- Continuously improving forecasting techniques, method, and approach.
- Develop and track key forecasting KPI's, such as forecast and mix accuracy, on a monthly basis.
- Partner closely with the MS Store Merchant on assortment decisions to effectively manage sku set up, pricing, and End of Life plans.
- Track customer returns rates by product. Partner with the Merchant to ensure our returns allowances are reasonable and are effectively being maximized.
- Partner closely with MS Supply Chain team to ensure 99.0% In Stock Percentage metric at a sku/outlet level.
- Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to reflect impact of promotions, pricing changes, seasonality, New Store Openings, and other factors to develop continually-improving future forecasts.
- Establish and utilize best practices (statistical models and software tools) in creating forecasts
- Make recommended adjustments to forecast based on changes in demand and market trends.
- Work with Supply Planning team to develop DOH targets based on current product performance and allocation practices when necessary.
- Manage the product's lifecycle in the POS and Replen systems. Daily updates required as necessary at a sku/outlet level.
- Work closely with the Planogram team to detail the start & end of each product's lifecycle and product placement.
- Work with fulfillment team on a weekly basis to ensure that customers are meeting their forecasted targets for the month.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS/BA in Accounting, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related area.
- 6-8+ years of demand planning, or related experience, within a Retail environment.
- Proven experience with demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Previous experience working directly with vendors, merchants, and supply chain organizations.
- Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities
- Good communication and team-building skills.
- Highly detail oriented.
- Effective in a fast paced, changing environment.
