The Global Consumer Partner team within the Developer Experience and Evangelism organization (DX) is responsible for leading the overall relationship with Microsoft's highest priority consumer app publishers - with a core focus on delivering top apps from across Microsoft platforms including Windows, Windows Phone, Azure, and XBOX. The team is seeking a Business Evangelist to lead the account engagement and apps partnerships with some of Microsoft's top network operator partners.

In this role, you will work with these partner's senior technology and business decision makers to ensure there is a well-managed, vibrant and mutually beneficial partner alliance. You will understand the partner's business priorities and map them to the benefits of the Microsoft platform. You will work with high profile developers and technical decision makers and lead meetings between executives at the highest levels, work very closely with product groups, and have the satisfaction of having helped partners deliver superior products built on the Microsoft platforms.

Your responsibilities include developing a deep understanding of the partner's business strategy to deliver a mutually beneficial product and technology partnership. You'll develop strategy and execute tactics to align the product offerings of both companies resulting in measurable development initiatives. You'll interact with everyone from the executive staff, to architects and developers, to the sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment and success around mutual technology initiatives. The results of your efforts should be shipping products which excite consumers, exploit and differentiate the Microsoft platform, incentivize our partners and grow Microsoft's presence in the operator channel.

This role will be responsible for the DX relationship with multiple cable TV and satellite operators; focusing on building broad developer partnerships and brining the apps and services from these operators to Windows, Windows Phone and XBOX platforms while partnering on new and emerging developer platforms and driving Azure revenue growth through these partners.

In order to meet these objectives, you will need to...
1. Develop comprehensive strategies for approaching consumer partners highlighting mutual benefits.
2. Build structured agreements (e.g. business terms) that drive mutual benefits to both Microsoft and partner
3. Gain commitment from partners to develop against milestones and deliver differentiating experiences to consumers.
4. Expand the Microsoft footprint within our partners' portfolios through new solutions.
5. Build and maintain trusted partner relationships with very high levels of satisfaction.
6. Establish Partner-to-DX-to-Engineering relationships that facilitate high impact interactions.
7. Excel at internal partnership and collaboration across teams and organizations (EPG, CCG, BD).

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Technical /Functional Skills: The person selected for this position must have a core understanding of Microsoft consumer platform & technologies or an equivalent competitive stack and the mobile/connected devices business.

Business Development Experience: at least 3 years of experience structuring business deals that drive mutual benefits between companies, including creating and developing Cloud Computing business deals that drive sustainable revenue growth.

Account Management Experience: at least 5 years of experience managing large, complex accounts. This would include building account plans, driving a v-teams and delivering great results.

TV, Video, and Network Experience: at least 5 years managing/selling-to large cable, satellite or broadcast accounts, navigating their complex organizations, and engaging with executives at these accounts.

Personal Attributes:
Highly motivated with a mature and positive attitude and a passion for working with partners on driving platform adoption of Microsoft technologies.
Strong organization and prioritization skills are essential, with the capacity for driving quality (rather than quantity) of activities with the partner and internal stakeholder collaboration.
An overall passion for technology and for the business value it drives is essential.
Strong communications and cross group collaboration skills essential.

Qualifications: BS/BA degree in business or computer science desirable
Language Skills: Fluency in English.
