Cloud Computing is the next step toward ubiquitous and pervasive computing for the world. Microsoft Azure is Microsoft's cloud computing platform used to build, host, and scale web applications and is a strategic focus for the company. Microsoft Azure is an open platform enabling hosting of both Windows and Linux applications and supports numerous languages such as .NET, Java, Node.js, and PHP. Join the Developer Experience (DX) organization in recruiting key cloud services vendors to develop their applications and consumer services on our cloud platform.

The DX team is looking for a Business Evangelist who has that special mix of technical and business experience. As a member of the Azure team, you will be responsible for identifying, driving, and closing Azure opportunities in your market. You will help these partners bring their cloud based products to market by providing business model and architectural guidance and supporting them through their development and go-to-market activities. This position entails hunting for the next generation Microsoft Azure partner, passionate evangelism of the Microsoft Azure Platform, and driving a healthy pipeline of active opportunities to closure.

In this role, you would be responsible for:
o Ongoing evangelism of the Microsoft Azure service
o Effective opportunity pipeline development and management with accurate forecasting
o Creating Azure proposals and deployment plans compatible with overall Microsoft account management strategies
o Deployments of Azure applications that reinforce Microsoft's business value, including TCO and ROI evidence
o Delivering on sales readiness activities and metrics
o Delivering ongoing market insights to the business group

The ideal candidate will have:
o Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies and architectural approaches for deployment.
o Understanding of common cloud based business models and the ability to create win-win partnerships
o Familiarity with Open Source infrastructure and development technologies
o Minimum of 7 years of experience in Enterprise business development, internet services software consulting or development
o Proven record of growing new businesses and building technical relationships with senior executives
o Exceptional leadership skills and community building
o Exceptional decision-making, conflict resolution, negotiation skills, and follow through
o Results driven; strong analytical skills with exceptional verbal and written communication
o BS/BA degree, MBA preferred

This individual will need to demonstrate success in developing growth strategies and transforming them into execution. This position also involves a large amount of exposure to senior executives internally and externally to Microsoft and requires the ability to communicate concisely.

One of the fastest moving and most interesting dimensions in technology today concerns the innovation in the SMB space. The Global Commercial Partner team is a team within DX working with Microsoft's largest and most important partners to adopt our platform technologies (e.g. Windows, Windows Phone, Windows Azure, etc.). We are looking for a Business Evangelist that is well versed in both the business and technical aspects of the commercial SMB market to help drive this adoption.

The Business Evangelist's primary focus is winning partner platform adoption of Microsoft technologies. The Business Evangelist will accomplish this through identifying, building and maintaining senior level relationships (business and technical) with a partner's key decision makers. The Business Evangelist will own and drive account planning and strategy, be the primary point of contact into Microsoft for the partner and be an excellent account leader, all the while providing business and technical leadership to deliver partner applications on our platforms.

In this role, you will understand the partner's business priorities and map them to the benefits of the Microsoft platform - such as Windows (including HTML5, CSS & JavaScript), Windows Phone, and Windows Azure. You will be responsible for evangelizing to partners the "joint win(s)" identified and ultimately securing the partner's commitment to deliver apps on our platforms. You'll be accountable for aligning resources across DPE and the product groups to reflect the priorities, expectations and operational plans of both Microsoft and the partner organization. Being a great leader and collaborator is critical to this role's success.
The results of your efforts should be shipping products which excite commercial customers, exploit and differentiate the Microsoft platform, nurture educated developers and grow Microsoft's presence in the commercial segment.

In order to meet these objectives, you will need to:
o Develop a comprehensive account strategy and plan that will confirm joint success for both partner and Microsoft.
o Have a strong understanding of the partner's key priorities and where does Microsoft play (or not) today.
o Have a 360 degree view of what Microsoft is doing, or attempting to do, with the partner.
o Establish trusted advisor status with CXO level partner executives across multiple functions. (Engineering, Sales, Marketing & Operations)
o Build structured agreements (e.g. business terms) that drive mutual benefits to both Microsoft and partner.
o Gain commitment from partners to develop against milestones and deliver differentiating experiences to Enterprise customers.
o Expand the Microsoft footprint within our partners' portfolios through new solutions.
o Build and maintain trusted partner relationships with very high levels of satisfaction.
o Establish strong relationships with technical evangelism and product groups to facilitate high impact interactions.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
o Essential Experience: The person selected for this position must have a comprehensive understanding of the Microsoft platform (Windows Client, Windows Phone, etc.) and/or an equivalent competitive stack.
o Business Development Experience: at least 3 years of experience structuring business deals that drive mutual benefits between companies.
o Account Management Experience: at least 5 years of experience managing large, complex accounts. This would include building account plans, driving a v-team and delivering great results.
o Experience/familiarity in architecture and development lifecycle of software applications for the commercial segment desired.
o Industry/Segment Experience: at least 3 years of experience in the commercial software industry required. Experience with Enterprise IT and cross-industry solutions (CRM, BPM, EIM, etc) are desirable.
o Technical /Functional Skills: An understanding of Microsoft technologies is mandatory. A specific understating in Windows Client and Windows Azure is desired. An overall passion for the technology environment and for the business value it drives is essential.
o Personal Attributes: highly motivated with a mature and positive attitude and a passion for working with partners on driving platform adoption of Microsoft technologies. Strong organization and prioritization skills are essential, with the capacity for driving quality (rather than quantity) of activities with the partner and internal stakeholder collaboration. An overall passion for technology and for the business value it drives is essential. Strong communications and cross group collaboration skills essential.
o Qualifications: Degree qualified (bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent discipline required. Graduate degree in engineering or Business preferred).
o Language Skills: Fluency in English.
