The Microsoft Store (www.microsoftstore.com) has become one of the largest and fastest growing retailers of Microsoft products on a worldwide basis and is poised for significant growth in FY15. Our online Store, along with our physical stores, is key to helping Microsoft connect directly with our customers and showcase our products. Microsoft Office is a key driver of growth and profitability for Microsoft Store and has the largest global footprint of all the product categories, available for purchase in over 200 markets. As the Assistant Office Category Manager, you'll transform the Office customer experience around the world through storytelling, content, site optimization, campaigns, offers, service offerings and more. You will help measure, manage and report out on site and business performance, including traffic, conversion and revenue goals. You will partner closely with and share key insights and action plans with the Store International team, the Office PMG, and Store Production and Engineering teams.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Deliver a world class customer experience on Store.com and across other Office Direct/e-commerce channels (Microsoft.com, Office.com).
- Define, execute and rapidly evolve the Microsoft Store experience and merchandising by making data driven decisions based on site analytics, site optimization and testing.
- Create and deliver innovative and effective storytelling, content, and purchase flows.
- Partner closely with International Online Store managers, Store Production, Store Demand Gen and - Store Analytics teams to extract key insights and identify and prioritize opportunities to improve the customer and purchase experience and site performance.
- Share site optimization, merchandising and customer insights with Store.com and Office PMG stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Microsoft Store 'brick and mortar' partners to align campaigns, offers, and strategic priorities.
- Transform 'voice of the customer' inputs into marketing and merchandising insights and action plans.
- Drive cross-team efforts to define and launch seasonal offers, campaigns, new products and site assets/content for the Office category worldwide.
- Support the Sr. Office Category Manager in analyzing and reporting out on site and category performance to Store and Office PMG leadership.
- Agitate the Store team and Office PMG to focus on the customer and deliver a world class customer experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5-7+ years of experience in a consumer focused business, consumer retail, digital marketing and/or e-commerce.
- BA/BS required. MBA preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrated understanding of digital marketing metrics and principles (SEO, SEM, conversion, traffic, etc.)
- Experience in site optimization and web analytics, including analytics tools (Omniture, WebTrends, etc.)
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and comfort using Excel for analysis
- Ability to extract insights from complex data sources and patterns, and translate the insights into action and decisions
- Proven track record of driving decisions and results in an agile and dynamic environment with rapid product launch cycles
- Recognition as an exceptional partner to internal business groups and cross-functional teams
- Experience working with international teams/Microsoft subsidiaries, strongly preferred.
- Project management skills, including ability to structure a work back plan, drive key stakeholders towards a deadline and keep track of multiple work streams
