Position Summary

The Metrology Engineer will be working with and supporting multiple Mechanical/Electrical/Design teams, as well as reaching out to and accommodating new teams throughout Microsoft Hardware as the need arises.

Responsibilities:
The Metrology Engineer will need to:
Work with ME, EE, PE, FA, and Prototyping teams to support the teams' needs with precision measurements.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience:

1. Must have at least 1 year of experience operating and calibrating Atos Core and Atos Triple-scan 3D scanning systems
2. Must possess ASME GDTP technologist-level certification
3. Must possess mechanical engineering degree and EIT certification
4. Must have at least 1 year of experience using Geomagic Studio 2014 and Creo Parametric to reverse engineer parts
5. Must be familiar with Zbrush 4R6
6. Must have at least 5 years of experience using Adobe Premiere and Adobe Illustrator
7. Must have experience operating and calibrating a Zygo NewView 8000 profilometer
8. Must have at least 2 years of modeling and drafting experience using Creo Parametric 2.0 and Wildfire 5
9. Must have at least 1 year of experience using Windchill 10.1
10. Must have at least 2 years of experience using Solidworks 2012
11. Must have at least 1 year of experience using Atos Professional V7.5, V8 and Geomagic Control 2014 to inspect parts and create inspection reports
12. Must have at least 1 year of experience operating an airbrush or paint gun
13. Must have at least 1 year of experience using a height gage or micrometer to inspect parts
14. Must have at least 1 year of experience running a metrology lab
