The Mechanical Drafter will be part of the Mechanical Drafting team and the Mechanical Design team. Primary responsibilities include working with and supporting Mechanical and Tooling Engineers. The deliverable of the Mechanical Drafter is the initial and continued development of mechanical drawings and potentially model data created in Creo. Development includes the enhancement of existing mechanical drawings as well as the development of new mechanical drawings as required by the Mechanical Drafting and Mechanical Design teams to accurately convey GD&T requirements as well as design structure and intent.

The Mechanical Drafter will need to:
Work with the ME and PE teams in the development of digital mechanical drawings for a wide range of parts, fixtures, and components.
Understand and support mechanical engineering, tooling, and manufacturing requirements while creating mechanical drawings to be used both within the local Engineering teams and with external vendors.
Participate in the creative development of new concepts and the evolution of concepts in development.
Create schedules and plan as required to maintain deliverables timelines to supported engineers.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience:

Candidate must have 5,000+ hours using Creo Parametric 2.0 (Pro E) and PDM Link 10.1 (Windchill) must be ASME Y14.5 Compliant

Solid grasp of CREO advanced drafting techniques, including:
.dtl, parameter/relations,
Generating detailed part/assembly drawings
GD & T
work with layers in drawings
able to handle large assembly models
complex exploded illustrations
parametric smart tables
complex section views
Simplified Rep views
drawing checker abilities
Technical experience with mechanical engineering, tooling, and manufacturing of consumer product.
He/She will be self-motivated to work in a fast-paced team environment.
