Microsoft's Global Advertising and Media team is seeking a Marketing Manager to drive global deployment and US tactical plan activation for some of Microsoft's largest consumer brands (including Windows, Surface, Phone and PC).

The Marketing Manager in an integral part of the Global Media Strategy & Planning team within the Global Ad and Media organization. The team is responsible for planning and activating Microsoft's investment in global advertising by building sound global media strategies with consumers at the core. The team also leads the development and activation of the US Media plans for the consumer lines of business. The team responsibilities extend to driving market intelligence and contributing to Microsoft's media innovation across new media channels, ad tech, etc. So much in pop culture centers around media and this team is at the heart of representing Microsoft's presence in cultural and media moments. By tying business objectives, insights and media partners together, the Global Media Strategy & Planning team is at the center of driving business impact through world-class media strategies, plans and results.

Specifically, the Marketing Manager is tasked with driving US plan activation across media and building global roll-up deployment needs for activation. This role will learn from and work with the Senior Marketing Managers who lead campaign global media strategy and planning. The Marketing Manager will be focused on US activation with entry into global process and strategy for future growth.

Responsibilities:

o Build a strong US tactical plan that delivers against global strategic approach
o Lead US tactical plan activation and execution
o Development of global process for gathering media activation needs and aligning with creative team on deployment
o Accountable for forward looking timelines/key date management across the globe and delivery against those timelines
o Ensures on-time delivery of media campaigns by overseeing campaign Ad Ops in partnership with the media agency
o Leads in development of team learning and media innovation opportunities

Preferred qualifications:

o 4 years media experience within a media agency or client-side
o College BA required, MBA a plus
o Experience working across all media channels including Broadcast TV, Online video, Digital, Social, Search, OOH and Print
o Must have proven competency working across diverse teams with diverse business goals in preparation for working across a matrix of internal and external stakeholders
o Strong communication experience a plus
o Experience using Microsoft technology and devices required
o Ability to be agile and work in a fast paced environment
o Believes in success in not only the individual but the team
o Passionate for learning about different global cultures and media environments

Manages media agency relationships and their work on in-market campaigns.

Leads finance reporting and management across internal partners and media agency.
Ensures on-time delivery of media campaigns by overseeing campaign Ad Ops in partnership with the media agency.
Supports team media publisher days for ongoing team learning and media innovation.

Experience using data-driven media tactics including advanced targeting, programmatic buying, and addressable TV.

The Windows Creative Studio Digital and Events team is looking for an energetic and experienced brand design and studio production marketing manager to help drive creative design projects and studio operations for the next version of Windows and Windows Phone. This position will support Product Marketing directors, creative directors, art directors, and producers to define and evangelize the Windows and Windows Phone brand design direction.

Candidate Responsibilities
- Lead production of marketing campaigns and supporting design asset creation.
- Maintain studio budget and PO's for Windows Brand Design Studio.
- Define, track and report on the execution of multiple simultaneous marketing projects.
- Manage email alias for new projects and asset approval.
- Identify and mitigate project risks / dependencies.
- Assist with production work by driving simultaneous print, digital and video projects.
- Drive ongoing evaluation of project status and assist in designer project assignment.
- Facilitate internal/external partners to define and align requirements and deliverables.
- Own weekly studio 3x4 reporting to GM for Brand, Digital, Events and Co-Marketing.
- Coordinate brand review to cross-functional design teams and external agency work.
- Identify, interview, inform, and coordinate with external design agencies and vendors.
- Provide reactive asset support to Product Marketing, PR, and other extended functions.
- Schedule and drive all production, directs, and staff meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements:
7+ years direct Production/Program Management experience designing, developing and shipping high quality marketing or related industry experiences; preferably on an agile team in a fast-paced development environment.

Experience driving rhythm of business via familiarity with Headtrax, My Order, IDWeb, and other Microsoft infrastructure resources.

A strong brand, UX, design studio background and demonstrated ability to quickly come up to speed with new projects is an absolute must with the ability to provide leadership in a cross collaborative fast-paced design studio. Four year degree preferred.

Exceptional organization skills. Detailed and organized communication skills with clear, concise, and specific follow through on all action items resulting from meetings and/or directions from the marketing partners, creative directors, and art directors.

Ability to deal with ambiguity. Experience is required to deal with ambiguous situations and conditions, and an ongoing need to identify, assess, and solve problems quickly and frequently. It will be necessary for the candidate to be able to facilitate solutions to process breakdowns and prevent repetitive issues from reoccurring project to project.

Strong interpersonal communication and cross-team collaboration skills with the proven ability to work with, and build win-win relationships with, creative teams (e.g. graphic and video production artists), technical people (e.g. developers), and non-technical people (e.g. PR and Marketing) alike. When conflicts occur, you bring people together, with careful listening, mitigation, and resolution skills.

Understanding aspects of the software development lifecycle and where marketing and branding can help infuse ideas and influence engineers is a plus.

A high level of enthusiasm, ingenuity, self-motivation, resourcefulness and drive for results in a fast-paced competitive space. Must have a positive and team-oriented attitude and be an excellent corporate citizen.
