Responsibilities as Advertising Manager in the Consumer Advertising Team

Who are we after? A self-starter, ready to challenge the status-quo who has a deep passion for the dynamic world of advertising. The successful candidate will drive advertising coordination extending across our global advertising strategy, TV, print, out of home, in addition to tight alignment with the digital strategy and execution team. This includes partnering with multiple Directors of Advertising - the leaders who connect advertising with Product Marketing. In addition, the role will include:

Developing ad strategies, planning, and presentations for Microsoft, Windows, Surface, Lumia, Office, Skype, and more
Building relationships and drive collaboration with the following teams: Partner marketing, Business Planning, Global media, Research and Insights, Brand
Driving deliverables and execution with agency counterparts
Supporting the campaign development process including gathering requirements, input and feedback for brief development
Working in a complex corporate environment and managing the varied matrix of stakeholders at different levels

Experience & Requirements:

In this role you will have the opportunity to drive the success of one of the world's largest brands and have the responsibility of working within one of the largest advertising and media budgets at Microsoft and within the industry as a whole.

Must have 5+ years of experience, preferably advertising and campaign development working with or for an agency
Have a proven track record of building trusted relationships and leading cross-group teams
Passion for advertising, creativity, brands and consumption of content in addition to engagement in media and social channels.
Globally and culturally thoughtful, and passionate about consumer technology and trends.
Comfortable with complexity and driving simplicity in a global organization.
Expertise in synthesizing complex information and turning it into a story for executive approval via PPT PowerPoint and/or Excel
Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills while working with all levels within the company
Bulletproof project management skills
Ability to add insight to projects. Our philosophy is if you touch something, you will add value and make it better - e.g. call out opportunities, connect dots, be the bridge among how we communicate with Executives, Agencies, Partners, and ultimately our consumers
Organizational agility and strong stakeholder management and cross-group collaboration skills will be critical to success with demonstrated ability to execute through an influence model
Ability to be proactive and ability to work with ambiguity
Excellent problem solving skills, strong process and coordination skills, and must demonstrate initiative and a strong willingness to roll-up their sleeves to make things happen
