The role: Microsoft IT is seeking a world-class marcom and readiness manager. To drive awareness, demand, and consumption of Microsoft technologies, you will develop integrated strategies, and deliver effective communications and learning solutions to our employees, customers, and partners. You will be required to evaluate complex IT changes, develop strategic marketing, communication, and readiness plans, and put them into action through execution. The fine print.

Job responsibilities: Deliver a communication and readiness strategy and 3 year roadmap. Understand, analyze, and forecast business needs to create, deliver, and manage learning solutions that develop future capabilities for Microsoft employees, customers, and partners. Translate the strategy into a plan with key tactics to accomplish goals. Allocate resources and budget, and execute the plan. Build consensus & drive worldwide adoption of marcom & readiness strategies, campaigns, & plans. Measure the effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of activities, and optimize those strategies and activities; Collect voice-of-the-customer feedback.

Ensure alignment and IT brand integration across all output to deliver a consistent customer experience. Acts as a trusted resource and advisor to primary clients; Create influence strategies that cross organizational boundaries to achieve increased awareness and engagement of IT programs/services/apps. Manage any vendor spend with fiscal responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual billing and forecast accuracy. Manage efficiencies and expectations with vendor management.

Desired skills and experience: Enterprise/customer communications and readiness experience (8+ years); Knowledge or expertise in IT Infrastructure, Services, Solutions, or apps. Applies customer and market data to make informed business decisions, and to maximize the marketing impact and ROI. The ability to synthesize and simplify complex information. Creates narratives that are targeted to customers on an emotional level, delivering clear outcomes and a call to action Exemplary writing/communication skills; excellent presentation skills, experience presenting to senior management (examples requested) Anticipates customer needs, and focuses efforts to proactively exceed customer expectations Makes important business decisions with confidence and persuades others Excellent problem solving and project management skills with the ability to balance competing project and resource demands Financial Forecasting and fundamental financial management capabilities.

Qualifications: BS/BA in computer science, technical communications, marketing, change management, or related field required + MS/MBA preferred 8+ years of related work experience Strong conceptualization, analytical, and logic skills Excellent project management skills, effectively managing projects without direct authority and working across multiple teams (PMP preferred) Strong cross-boundary (and geography) collaboration skills.Demonstrated success driving complex strategies, projects, and businesses. Strong capacity for leading change, dealing with ambiguity and providing creative solutions. Leads with courage and conviction Drives for results Passion for the customer experience Great team player who can work independently
