The WWLP Business Desk is building-out its specialist team of business professionals that help enable the sale of Surface Tablets by negotiating custom terms and pricing. We're looking for people with a passion for devices, deal-making and developing new businesses in a dynamic environment. Though this job description speaks principally about supporting the Surface business, this team could work to support other devices produced by Microsoft.

In this role, you will help to design, continuously improve and execute on the deal-making framework for Surface Tablets sold directly to customers and through channel partners. You will also work on how to enable transacting Surface Tablet sales in Volume Licensing. You will operate in tight alignment with the Surface BG, Operations, WWLP Programs, LCA, Field Sales, Channel Partners, Customers and the broader WWLP Business Desk. As a specialist who helps to build the business and the initial knowledge base around Surface Tablet deal-making, you will help drive readiness for the broader WWLP Business Desk.

This is a new business. To be successful and satisfied in the role, you need to be the kind of person that is excited by an opportunity to try something new, and to constantly adjust based on new information, insights and changing circumstances. You need to be skilled at embracing ambiguity, working both strategically and tactically, and thinking long- and short-term. Now that we are a couple years into our Surface business, you will need to be able to help build more programmatic and scalable approaches, while also being capable of operating using less-structured (incubation) approaches. You need to excel at cross-group collaboration, and your impact and influence skills must be stellar.

Additional Qualifications:
o At least 5 years' of technology industry experience.
o Extensive device sales/support experience.
o Excellent demonstrated decision-making, problem solving and negotiating skills.
o Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
o Self-motivated and directed, requiring minimal supervision to get the job done.
o Proven ability to work well with cross-functional groups and virtual teams, and to effectively collaborate with others to achieve important objectives.
o Strong presentation skills.
