We are looking for an experienced hardware design verification engineering lead. The qualified candidate will draw upon their experience in leading validation of embedded hardware and real time firmware/software to deliver world class high volume consumer products. The primary responsibility is to lead the development of test cases for device level function and performance testing, including validating the electrical stress test, embedded firmware validation and device robustness for product acceptance. You will work closely with engineers in your validation team, as well as the EE and FW development team to deliver the product testing framework design and to develop the test cases to ensure 100% result correlation with the design requirements. You will also need to manage the project cross functional test progress, identify critical test paths, provide test status reporting, and be directly or indirectly involved in the troubleshooting process.
The qualified candidate must have a track record verifying/testing or designing embedded hardware devices for high volume consumer electronics products. It is expected that you are very familiar with electrical high speed parallel/serial buses and standard communication protocols such as USB
, I2C, I2S, SPI
, etc. You must have hands on experience in test environments and tools such as ICE
, oscilloscope, signal generator, network analyzer etc. Strong
experience in scripting language/C++ programming is desired. Bluetooth
wireless experience is a big plus.
In addition, a successful candidate should have excellent lead project management skills, validation personnel management experience, very good cross-organizational collaboration skills and profound technical knowledge including test process/case design and development.
- BS in Electrical
or Computer Engineering
- 8+ (MSEE
) or 10+ (BSEE
) year experience in designing and testing modern electronics hardware at component, device, and system levels.
experience in leading testing and troubleshooting, especially on USB
, etc. at device level. Proficient
in using standard testing equipment.
project technical leadership skills, with proven personnel management competency.
in hardware device level prototype bring-up, debug, fault detection, failure analysis, and yield improvement.
