Come join a dynamic engineering team and play a key role in the development and verification of the Xbox360 and future platforms. We are looking for an experienced Wireless Design Lead Engineer.

You will be responsible for the design and qualification of new wireless technology on the Xbox platform. You will lead strategy discussions, collaborate with product design, develop design / test methodologies & plans. Additionally, you will work closely with the software and hardware teams to ensure the functionality and quality of wireless FW features, driver operation and system integration.

Candidates must also be able to interface effectively with internal and external partner teams, including embedded firmware, software, test, program management, sourcing, and manufacturing. Experience with external vendor and contractor management is highly desired. Extensive experience is required with board design (schematic & PCB layout); prototype bring-up, test, debug, and characterization; certification & regulatory testing; design for manufacturability and test; and transfer of designs to high volume manufacturing.

Desired Skills and Experience
Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, report and present complete validation of wireless products including RF, baseband, reliability and FW/SW functionality
- Function as technical RF and electrical lead responsible for test coverage, test methodology and accuracy of results
- Perform testing of wireless products that use 802.11x and proprietary RF protocol
- Perform testing on RF parametrics, antenna patterns, traffic, and RF-to-baseband circuits
- Perform statistical, and comparative performance analysis

Job Requirements:
- BSEE or equivalent required; MSEE preferred
- 10+ years of board-level wireless design experience for commercial wireless products
- Contributions on a minimum of 3 commercial wireless products shipped
- Up-to-date knowledge of the Wi-Fi chipset and product landscape
- Intimate knowledge of 802.11 wireless parametric specifications & working knowledge of Wi-Fi protocols
- Board-level schematic & PCB layout design for RF/wireless applications
- Solid understanding of wireless front-end, transceiver and system architecture, components, and specifications
- Solid board level debugging skills and ability to oversee the PCB layout process.
- Understand antenna design & integration principles and concepts
- Familiar with traffic and protocol analysis tools such as Ixia Chariot and Omnipeek Wildpackets
- Experience in hardware prototype bring-up, debug, fault detection, and failure analysis
- Experience in operating and automating RF test equipment
- Experience in high volume, consumer electronic development and manufacturing coordination
- Experience in working with internal and external chip teams, developers, test teams, lab technicians, local and overseas test houses
- Experience with managing contracting staff and prioritizing lab work
- Some domestic and international travel will be required
