M&A is an important component of Microsoft's growth strategy and Venture Integration plays a critical role in enabling M&A at Microsoft. Venture Integration Finance is currently seeking to add a member to assist the overall VI team to improve our execution.

This role will support the M&A process by managing the corporate acquisition scorecard program and the integration cost management program. The acquisition scorecard program tracks performance of acquisitions for two years and is reported to senior leaders. This role will support the creation of success metrics and the administration of the program. The integration cost management program is designed to create and report on the one-time incremental costs that are directly attributable to an acquisition. This role will also support the team through data analysis and ad hoc reporting to help the Venture Integration Leadership Team drive the development of the overall VI practice.

This position works closely with a wide range of groups and functions within Venture Integration as well as the extended communities that VI interfaces with on a daily basis including Corporate Development, HR, Business Group Strategy, Tax, Legal, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Subsidiary Finance and others as appropriate.

Responsibilities include:
- Manage the acquisition scorecard and dashboard governance process
- Partner with a wide range of groups and functions within Microsoft to develop success metrics for all acquisitions
- Direct and review the completion of acquisition scorecards, consolidate results into the quarterly dashboard and document trends
- Drive communication of acquisition scorecard results to key stakeholders/executives
- Harvest key learnings/best practices from acquisition scorecards and effectively communicate to key stakeholders/executives
- Assist in the development of new tools and procedures to increase efficacy and/or improve control of the acquisition scorecard process
- Assist in development of integration budgets for acquisitions/divestitures/JVs
- Manage the reporting of integration costs and provide to VI leadership
- Provide variance analysis to develop a better understanding of cost drivers
- Feed learnings back into the forecasting process to improve integration budget accuracy
- Maintenance deal tracking systems to ensure updated and accurate information.
- Opportunity to assist with the acquisition process in the following areas:
- Confirmatory due diligence
- Integration planning/execution
- Perform special projects in the areas of M&A knowledge management, process improvement and ad hoc analysis to improve Microsoft's M&A capabilities

Qualifications:
- BA / BS Business, Finance or Accounting
- A minimum of 4 years of demonstrated work experience in an accounting or finance focused role
- Must have strong analytical skills; strong project management skills are required, as this position will have responsibility for multiple, complex projects where the ability to influence others will be essential;
- Experience and strong understanding of Microsoft systems and software, specifically Mercury and Microsoft Office;
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, often ambiguous work environment
