Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure Finance (MCI Finance) is a new, exciting and fast evolving finance team within Microsoft Finance at the forefront of Microsoft's Mobile First, Cloud First strategy with the charter to:
Drive end to end Cloud Infrastructure planning and optimization
Expand Cloud Services Profitability through focus on Gross Margin
Support Long Term bets to keep Microsoft Cloud ahead of competition
Enhance transparency into Cloud Infrastructure investments

MCI Finance is looking for a talented and motivated individual to help shape the future of the C+E Cloud business by working closely with the group's business leaders to support planning and analysis for the workloads and services.

Job Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for developing robust, driver-based cost and analysis frameworks for Windows Azure workloads and services to assess business performance and drive optimizations to improve service profitability. Specific responsibilities include:

o Partner with engineering on new products and features to understand the gross margin impact.
o Provide deep insights into gross margin in its current state and progress to north start
o Develop sustainable frameworks, systems, processes and tools to track performance against defined KPIs and other targets.
o Own the usage analysis framework and understand usage trends over time.
o Partner with revenue and marketing teams to track the ROI and LTV of benefit & deployment
programs
o Develop cost models and insights for hybrid services.
o Own special projects as necessary.
o Effectively manage multiple inputs across many stakeholders, prioritizing the effort on main drivers and simplifying where appropriate

Requirements and Qualifications
o Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, computer science or engineering
o Avid intellectual curiosity with MBA preferred
o 5-8 years of relevant experience with progressive advancement within your discipline
o Strong analytical and strategic thinking
o Comfort working at multiple altitudes, from strategic/high-level projects to detailed revenue analysis
o Strong partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence others without direct authority
o Executive level oral and written communication skills - ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way
o Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
o Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty in a business that evolves at super-fast pace
o High level of self-motivation; ability to quickly identify what needs to be accomplished
