The District Manager for the Pipeline team based in Santa Monica requires a deep understanding and active relationships within the West Coast automotive industry, across client and agency sectors. It's critical to have relationships within the general LA agency community, specifically Saatchi & Saatchi, MediaVest, OMD and Team One. In leading the Pipeline team, you will develop employees, conduct performance reviews, coach, motivate and take correctible course of action where appropriate. To be successful in this role you must be able to passionately articulate the US Microsoft strategy of Audience Based Solution Selling (ABS) and delivering a set quota across the core Microsoft platforms of MSN, Xbox, Microsoft Exchange (MAX), Outlook, Skype, Windows 8, and Windows Phone.

? Develop a territory/local sales plan to generate inspiration/excitement with Microsoft advertisers and the Pipeline team
? Manage the performance against the plan and make adjustments to align with customer and market dynamics
? Provide sales target and quota guidance to help set A&O goals
? Identify high impact opportunities to grow sales revenue
? Support the team in upstream conversations or negotiations with executive management
? Develop and communicate a strategy and vision for team success
? Maintain a high value talent pipeline
? Recognize and reward the team through individual and team recognition
? Lead direct reports through the HR people processes and annual rhythm
? Collaborate with other internal teams and groups to create the One Microsoft customer experience
? Develop and cultivate an internal network of stakeholders and facilitators
? Contribute to the local success of the Regional Leadership team
? Collaborate with Services to provide best in class, end to end service to customers
? Evangelize and sell the Microsoft Devices and Services value story to customers
? Co-plan and conduct regular business reviews with customers and partners to build a business discussion
? Work in coordination with the West Business Manager to deliver customer action plans, excellence in pipeline management and weekly/monthly business reviews
? Leverage the Management and Corporate community to learn and grown

Requirements include:
? Minimum 10+ years of relevant sales experience including complex business transactions with senior executives preferably in the advertising industry
? Minimum 5+ years of people management experience
? BA/BS from an accredited college/university or at least 12 years of relevant professional experience
? Experience working with the West coast automotive industry and LA agency community
? Proven track record in negotiation deals and closing business with national top-tier accounts
? Experience enabling change with clear communications around business rationale for change and align roles, systems, and processes with the direction of the change.
? Demonstrated leadership ability to influence senior leadership, customers, and peers across large matrixed environment
? Ability to travel up to 40% nationwide to attend client meetings, conferences, seminars, and industry events
