Delivering world class retail execution and meaningful business impact for Microsoft's consumer products is the primary mission of the WW Field Labor Director and their team reporting directly to the GM of WW Channel Marketing. As such, the Worldwide Retail Channel Marketing organization is seeking a proven leader with deep retail experience and the vision to drive the strategic guidance, infrastructure and performance management for field labor execution within our retail partners' environments across the globe.

This leader will define, implement and refine our Field Labor strategy to drive executional excellence across all lines of business globally. This strategic and highly visible role has significant scope from a management, discipline and business perspective:

Management Scope:
o A corporate team comprised of full time employees, contractors and vendors
o Indirectly manage and direct Field Labor managers within each country subsidiary / region
o Global strategic direction for FL execution, executive guidance and requirements, development of the FL support infrastructure and execution tools, management of metrics platforms and evaluation of program performance/ROI

Discipline Scope:
o Strategic Vision & Program Development - This person will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic plan and long term vision of our field labor program for WW Retail Channel Marketing. This person also manages all execution guidance and requirements of Plan, Execute, Manage & Monitor (PEMM) to ensure we're maximizing Microsoft's investment in field labor.
o Subsidiary Program Design & Collaboration - Partner with subsidiary and region leads to define, develop and manage field labor resources including the templates for Statements of Work (SOW), vendor evaluation, metrics, and ongoing assessment of labor effectiveness.
o Program Training, Communication & Governance - Ensure that top-down the field is trained on the program structure and requirements, communicate program / project updates, sharing best practices and driving a cadence of program performance reviews.
o Execution Guidance & Requirements - Development of all program guidelines and execution requirements. Owner of corporate execution communications, the Field Labor Playbook and ensuring the program delivers against category and business objectives.
o Tools & Infrastructure - This team is responsible for identifying, designing and developing the tools and infrastructure to support and enable the field labor leads globally.
o Best Practice Sharing & Innovation - Establish vehicles and FL Community to identify and share best practices. Work across Channel Marketing to identify ways to extend and enhance consumer experiences with Field Labor resources
o Metrics Tracking & ROI Analysis - Accountability to activity and business impact metrics, this team is also responsible for assessing and determining ROI for field labor execution as a whole. This includes defining what metrics will be captured, methods for collecting and aggregating data, executive and program reporting as well as targets to drive performance.

Key Success Criteria:
A successful leader in this role will have the following skills and attributes
o Deep understanding of retail with specific experience in the discipline Field Labor.
o Strong leadership skills and a history of turning low performing teams into world-class high performance organizations.
o Strong determination and ability to deal with ambiguity and challenge traditional ways of doing things.
o Has the ability to create a vision, build a strategy, align on goals, objectives, and tactics and then execute towards that shared vision.
o Ability to work through HR process of retaining great talent, moving underperformers, and acquiring new and diverse talent.
o Ability to tightly integrate with Category Management team and across WW Channel Marketing Leadership.

Qualifications Recommended:
o 10-15+ years of retail marketing experience and/or retail channel product marketing experience. 10+ years of field labor experience.
o In depth understanding of retailer formats, operational dynamics and readiness requirements
o Strategic vision and proven ability to build plans / programs from the ground up and set direction for remote teams
o Proven management capability in driving exceptional business results within a positive work/health culture.
o Business analytics experience with all aspects of category management and retail sales including budget management, strategic thinking, planning, merchandising, training, customer experience & engagement, etc
o Successful experience at developing efficient work plans for complex projects involving many groups; effectively implement and coordinate these plans.
o Executive presence a must. Candidate should possess a strong ability to communicate effectively and concisely.
o Impeccable attention to detail, excellent organization and ability to effectively manage multiple projects required.
o Ability to effectively influence others in multiple groups and collaborate to achieve specific objectives.
o A BA or equivalent 4-year degree, MBA preferred
