As a Director of Business Planning with the Xbox Global Business Planning Team, you'll drive market leadership for Xbox in key markets and help define the go-to-market strategy for the Xbox business.

You'll manage & build a high performing team, helping grow future leaders at Microsoft. You will lead multiple teams working on high visibility & high impact projects, working closely with business and engineering leadership to optimize strategic go-to-market (GTM) decisions & investments for Xbox. You'll be a trusted partner to key stakeholders in different parts of the Xbox business on a variety of critical questions, including strategic prioritization of markets and GTM initiatives, as well as identifying and leading growth initiatives from strategy through execution. You'll also evolve the go-to-market model for Xbox to address key trends and opportunities in gaming and entertainment. In short, you'll balance strategy and execution to help Xbox drive disproportionate strategic & financial value to One Microsoft. The team provides an ideal opportunity to demonstrate end-to-end business leadership skills and drive a significant impact on a marquee consumer product in a fast-changing category.

Responsibilities:
o Manage & lead a high performing team and steward thoughtful career planning with employees
o Build effective relationships with senior leaders & colleagues from the field, engineering and business organizations
o Lead and manage multiple project teams in the analysis and assessment of complex business problems
o Identify, frame & land worldwide growth opportunities for Xbox with partner teams
o Lead cross-org execution of key strategic GTM initiatives, with responsibility for delivering project goals
o Attract, retain & develop high-quality talent

Job Requirements:
o Demonstrated end-to-end project leadership capabilities: history of success leading teams on large, high visibility projects to successful outcomes
o Proven track record of establishing strong relationships with senior business leaders/executives, both internal and external
o Demonstrated history of originating & sourcing high impact projects
o Outstanding written & verbal communication skills
o Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities (e.g., Excel modeling, issue prioritization)
o Exceptional oral and written communication skills
o Passion for consumer technology & execution
o BA/BS with strong academic background; MBA Preferred
o 10+ yrs. experience with a top-tier strategy consulting, investment banking or private equity firm, Fortune 500 corporate strategy group or world class marketing or finance team
