This leadership role is responsible for IT Pro Audience marketing within the Office 365 Product Marketing group. This Director is responsible for leading a team that drives a robust and engaged Office 365 IT Pro community including the MVPs and the external tech community network, drives IT Pro technical training and readiness resources, IT Pro content & events including Ignite and oversees the widely followed Office Blog. This role also works in close partnership with IT Pro audience partners across C&E, DX and SMSG.
Specific responsibilities include:
Team Leadership. Coach a high performing team to hit commitments and steward thoughtful career planning with employees. Influence stakeholders across teams, embracing cross-boundary collaboration to influence peers and senior leaders.
IT Pro Community. Ensure a robust and engaged IT Pro ecosystem around Office 365, as well as the on-prem servers across Exchange, SharePoint and Lync/Skype for Business. Lead for the MVPs across Office and future engagement programs.
IT Pro Training. Define and build high-quality technical training curriculum delivered virtually and in person. Work in partnership with MS Learning, WPG and other stakeholders to ensure readiness excellence across all IT readiness channels. Define and deliver future, readiness programs that are always up to date and easy to consume, to ensure broad customer and partner capabilities in using Office 365.
IT Pro content and events. Work with product SMEs to ensure the right type of IT Pro content and the event strategy to deliver this content - virtually, small scale and large scale events, inclusive of Ignite.
Office Blog ownership. Lead the Office blog editorial process on behalf of the PMG. With over 1M monthly viewers, this Blog serves as our primary Office 365 communication vehicle to IT audiences and influentials.
Qualifications
10+ years of technology marketing experience, software or online services marketing experience strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to derive data-driven insights and actionable results
Exceptional ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and influence without authority
Demonstrated ability to influence at the CVP level and above
