WW Alliance Team
is looking for a strong leader to help drive the Microsoft
relationship with one of our largest Partners
, with a specific focus on executing strategic go-to-market campaigns that will increase revenue for both companies.
The WW Alliance Team's
charter is to lead Microsoft's Enterprise
& Partner Group's
) strategy and field leadership with our largest, most strategic partners. The Alliance Manager
role adds value to Microsoft
and to the Alliance Partner
by delivering a well-managed, mutually-beneficial Alliance business that drives long-term revenue performance. This is a senior level role and is charged with leading strategic engagements on current and future Partner-related
initiatives, possibly including data center, mobility and private & public cloud focused projects. This position will require a high-degree of executive engagement within Microsoft
corporate headquarters, Partner
corporate and subsidiary leadership. This position is unique in that it combines strategic thinking, program management and global customer engagement. The role will have a worldwide responsibility and will report to the Enterprise Partner
responsibilities and required competencies include:
o Internal Owner
: Be the primary interface between WW EPG
and the appropriate Microsoft
business groups and Microsoft Services
have the ability to frame ambiguous business opportunities, create structured business recommendations, adapt quickly based on senior stakeholder or market input and effectively communicate to the Microsoft
executive leadership teams.
o Drive New Business Opportunities
alliance efforts to create compelling new go-to-market initiatives with Partner
have the ability to recognize and quantify future opportunities, assess future market dynamics and define investment strategies and/or business models to exploit market opportunities.
o Field Enablement
and Sales Leadership
responsibility for gathering and creating content for field enablement and consumption. Requires
the ability build a strategic plans, create and update relevant content, internal/external websites, etc. Must
build relationships with the key Microsoft Partner Team Units
) to effectively land the Partner
activity with the local field teams.
The successful candidate will be passionate about enterprise technology and well versed in both Microsoft
and broad enterprise technology markets and sales processes.
o A minimum of 10 years of related industry experience spread across the following disciplines: sales, product marketing and/or alliance management experience and enterprise solution services (large SI) experience. At least 5 years of that experience should be in business development or alliance management
