Microsoft's Enterprise Services organization is looking for a Director of Resource & Capacity Management who will bring together the disparate functions, processes, and tools across the Services business that ultimately support the vision of OneServices. Microsoft Services is more than 20,000 employees around the world serving customers across all audiences, and spanning all products. The Services Resource & Capacity Management Leader will be responsible for integrating resource management capabilities, annual capacity planning and workforce planning processes and tools together to support the transformation of Services all-up. You will work to support both the account-aligned local Area resources as well as a global pool of Delivery resources, driving a holistic planning end-to-end function that supports the global nature of the Services business. Key touch points for this role will be working with leaders across Global Delivery, Readiness, Offerings and Finance teams to determine the skills, resource needs and taxonomies needed in the short and longer term for WW Services.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Role Operations and Incentives, you will play a leadership role across the Services Strategy & Operations organization, while also being a key driver/enabler of the OneServices Transformation. You will be responsible for ensuring the organization is capable of fulfilling engagement staffing requests using Microsoft FTE's as well as facilitating the use of partner, subcontractors and global offshore resources to staff engagements as appropriate. This requires an in-depth understanding of the skills, disciplines and cost structures of a global workforce needed to support the organization both now and in the future, and playing a key role in defining that through the development of tools, processes and taxonomies that enable effective resource management and workforce planning.

This position is also responsible for providing in depth analysis and business insight that informs future investments, hiring plans, and readiness. In addition to building organizational capability for effective planning for staffing customer engagements, you will also be accountable for resolving conflicts and identifying solutions that have a significant impact on revenue and on internal and external customer satisfaction. And, you will be responsible for maintaining the data integrity of the Systems and tools, while developing and governing the Service levels needed between the Areas and the Global delivery pools.

Success in this role will require a high degree of collaboration and leadership across SSO, IT, Finance and direct business relationships. The successful candidate will have:

o Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience required, MBA a plus
o 10+ years of relevant business experience in Portfolio/Program management and/or IT/Operations
o Demonstrated experience in working with and a part of business or IT leadership teams to drive organization process, governance and standards
o Ability to impact and influence at GM / VP level. Outstanding communication skills to facilitate support and engagement at all levels of the organization.
o High level of organization, planning, prioritization and attention to detail
o Ability to work and create structure in complex and ambiguous situations and respond flexibly in time sensitive situations
o Conflict / Negotiation management - demonstrated influencing skills
o Strong written/oral communication skills required along with desire and ability to communicate with business leaders through all levels of the organization.
o Strong end to end thinking with process orientation; ability to develop enterprise-wide solutions
o High energy and a "can do" attitude. Ability to motivate self and others

This is a Redmond, WA-based position at Microsoft headquarters. Travel of approximately 10% will be expected.
