The Microsoft Online Store has become one of the largest resellers of Microsoft products worldwide and is poised for significant growth for FY15 and beyond. To fuel our continued growth, we are looking for a strong candidate to drive strategic initiatives. This is a unique opportunity for a top performer seeking a high impact, high visibility position and influence over the future course of Microsoft's direct consumer channel. The Microsoft Online Store Business Development team creates opportunities, business transactions, partnerships and industry insights together with key innovation partners while contributing to a culture of excellence in the business development discipline across Microsoft.


- Develop, manage, and execute on a global portfolio of business initiatives in support of the business strategy of the Microsoft Online Store Group.
- Partner deeply and coordinate activities across Engineering, Marketing, Legal and Corporate Affairs, Finance, Product and Field teams (Regional Store Managers, Online Store Managers).
- Consistently and efficiently deliver on high-value business initiatives, you will need to demonstrate the following traits:
- Analytical Problem Solving: Identify trends and inconsistencies in data to provide perspective and business solutions, break complex problems down into clear and simple terms and identifies effective solutions, and systematically considers the implications of a decision or action before providing a solution.
- Strategic Insights: Effectively prioritize work to align with Microsoft's short- and long-term goals and objectives, use industry trends to capitalize on opportunities that add value to Microsoft, and assess and manage risk to develop insights and make appropriate decisions that support Microsoft's competitive strategy.
- Trusted Advisor: Inquire about the expressed and unexpressed needs of others to more accurately understand underlying issues, provide advice within area of expertise, and act as a trusted advisor to Online Store Leadership.


- 5+ years of business experience
- 1-2+ years of management consulting in top tier consulting firm and/or Corporate Strategy experience
- Superb relationship, communication, and negotiation skills in working with senior executives, external constituents, and other business functions
- Understanding of the competitive landscape for consumer devices including mobile phones, gaming, PCs/Tablets, etc.
Key interpersonal traits include: motivation, passion for technology, creativity, adaptability, unquestionable ethics and integrity, and a willingness to take calculated risks
- BS/BA degree required; previous retail experience and an MBA preferred
