As the Director of Business Planning with the Xbox Devices Marketing Team, you will have the opportunity to impact the entire Xbox devices portfolio, including Xbox One, Xbox 360, Kinect and Accessories. You will help drive informed decision making from early stage product development to lifecycle management, and from strategic planning to marketing execution.

As part of your responsibilities, you will identify growth initiatives, and make recommendations on how best to pursue those opportunities. In addition, you, and your team, will be responsible for driving recommendations for volume, SKU mix, pricing, and promotions to maximize business performance. In close partnership with product marketing, you will develop holistic, data driven recommendations for product improvement. Your recommendations will be based of deep customer understanding, market research, trend analyses, quantitative models and industry benchmarks. Your insights will inform our overall business plan, product, and strategy.

This role must work in close partnership with product marketing, business insights (BI), finance and field teams to be successful. We are looking for someone who is phenomenal at cross team collaboration, and who has a history of solving tough problems in complex environments.

This role requires curiosity, strong business acumen and deep analytical skills to be successful. We are looking for people who are passionate about Xbox, data, and solving problems!

Specific responsibilities include:
o Lead, and develop, a team of highly skilled business planners
o Partner with other business planning teams to create an integrated Xbox dashboard
o Partner with finance, BI, and operations to bring disparate data together for analysis
o Develop demand forecasts for new, and existing devices; across geos, products & SKUs
o Analyze sales results relative to forecast, identify causes of deviation, and recommend actions
o Identify opportunities and develop actionable plans for how we optimize SKU mix
o Drive research and analysis, with the BI team, to develop deep consumer understanding
o Model new business, product, and market opportunities
o Drive customer life time value analysis and ROI analysis for investments

Qualifications:
o Strong communication and collaboration skills
o Proven ability to create and articulate a strategy, influence others, and drive planning
o Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical skills and problem identification skills
o Proven experience in preparation and delivery of executive level presentations
o 10+ years' experience in consulting, data analysis, forecasting, and/or market research
o MBA, or a Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics preferred
o Experience in regression, simulation, forecasting, and data visualization
o Experience with Excel, R, SPSS, Stata, or other statistical software
o Passion for Xbox, Gaming, and/or the Games Industry
