As a Business Planner on the Xbox Devices Marketing Team, you will support the Xbox One, Xbox 360, Kinect and Accessories businesses. You will work with trusted partners in Product Marketing, Product Planning, BI, Research, Finance, Engineering, and Operations to help drive critical business, product and marketing decisions. This role requires strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and data driven problem solving.

As part of your responsibilities, you will partner with Product Marketing to identify growth opportunities, and make actionable recommendations on how best to pursue those. In addition, you will be responsible for driving analysis of, and recommendations for, global forecasts, SKU mix, pricing, and promotions to maximize business performance. In close partnership with Product Marketing, you will develop data driven insights and use these insights to make recommendations for new products and product improvement(s). Your recommendations will be based of deep customer understanding, market research, trend analyses, quantitative models, competitive analysis, and industry benchmarks. Your insights will help inform our overall business plan, product, and strategy.

This role must work in close partnership with many, varied teams in order to be successful. We are looking for someone who has phenomenal at cross team collaboration skills, and who has a history of solving tough problems in complex environments.

Specific responsibilities include:

o Partner with Product Marketing leads to drive overall business success
o Bring disparate data together for analysis by partnering with Finance, Research, BI, and Operations.
o Drive requirements with our partners to create, and/or improve, critical data sets and analytical tools
o Develop demand forecasts for new, and existing devices; across geos, products & SKUs
o Analyze weekly sales results relative to forecast, identify causes of deviation, and recommend actions
o Identify opportunities and develop actionable plans to optimize SKUs
o Drive research and analysis with the BI team to develop deep consumer understanding and insights

Qualifications:

o 3+ years' experience in product marketing, management consulting, data analysis, finance, forecasting, and/or market research
o MBA, and/or a degree in Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics preferred
o Experience in regression, simulation, forecasting, and data visualization
o Experience with advanced Excel capabilities, R, SPSS, Stata, or other statistical software
o Strong communication and collaboration skills
o Proven ability to create and articulate a strategy, influence others, and drive planning
o Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical skills and problem identification skills
o Proven experience in preparation and delivery of executive level presentations
o Passion for Xbox, Gaming, and/or the Games Industry
