The Enterprise Services Business Intelligence (ESBI) team drives business insights that help key strategic decisions. We are transforming BI from a reactive service to a proactive capability. We've aligned our people and programs across the Services Line of Business (LOB) and our investments to our Enterprise Services business strategies. We focus on maximizing the value of our infrastructure and our capability investments through unified architecture and operations. Our partners include Services LOB Capability owners and architects, Field Engagement Teams, Business Architecture and Program Management Office (PMO) teams, Field Business Excellence Operations, Regional Operational Centers and IT delivery teams

Business Intelligence Program Manager

This specific role will be focused on enabling, maintaining and supporting analytical capabilities for HQ and the Field. We are looking for a BI program manager to organize an advisory board for input, drive requirements, governance and program management for the delivery of transformational leading indicators for the Services business and analytical capabilities. You will optimize the investment portfolio of BI assets, manage multi-year roadmaps, conceptualize BI architect and design, work with the LOB Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to analyze and rationalize business needs, define standards and practices for processes, technologies around BI assets, and partner with delivery vendors and Engineering teams to deliver new BI capabilities that align with ES business strategies. You will analyze the business scenarios and opportunities and translate them into clear and compelling business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
o Act as an evangelist and catalyst for analytic & reporting capabilities and drive innovation
o Developing and maintain strong business relationships, individually and across teams
o Engage broadly with the business teams to frame, structure and prioritize business problems where analytic and reporting projects or tools can have the biggest impact
o Manage the reporting requirement process from across the portfolio of work
o Own the Governance process to facilitate and evaluate prioritization of requirements and allocation of technical team capacity
o Work with the business-units and executive leadership on strategic analytics initiatives; help influence strategic direction
o Showcase the Microsoft BI technology stack

Deliver
o Business Requirements - collaborate with Enterprise Services business capability architects, business analysts, business SME's, other business partners, solution managers and end users to drive and document business requirements and needs including business use cases and scenarios as well as non-functional requirements. Collaborate with delivery stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly understood
o Project Tollgates - collaborate with the Business Partners and Delivery partners to understand the business strategies and priorities and articulate the scope, business outcomes and targeted roles that will benefit from the investment. Collaborate with the delivery partners and Business Partners to optimize the project schedule/scope
o Data Models - collaborate with Data Modelers/Analysts and Business Partners to ensure design conceptual and logical data models that represent the information needs of the business and ensure alignment to the intended business requirements.
o User Acceptance Test - Engage as SME's during the User Acceptance Test to validate the business requirements in the pre-production environment. Partner with the delivery managers during the User Acceptance Test execution and the Go/No-Go meeting to reach approval.
o Data Models - collaborate with Data Modelers/Analysts and Business Partners to ensure design conceptual and logical data models that represent the information needs of the business and ensure alignment to the intended business requirements.
o User Acceptance Test - Engage as SME's during the User Acceptance Test to validate the business requirements in the pre-production environment. Partner with the delivery managers during the User Acceptance Test execution and the Go/No-Go meeting to reach approval.
o Change Management - Champion the change management plan by collaborating with business partners and Field IT to prepare for adoption and realize business value.

Governance & Prioritization
o Govern Intake - Own, optimize and prioritize the intake for the BI demand for your reporting and analytics work stream in alignment with the business strategies and priorities. Articulate the value proposition and drive prioritization
o Roadmap - collaborate with other BI Program Managers, Delivery Managers, Solution Delivery, Business Architects, and Business SME's to manage roadmaps that articulate the positioning, capabilities and features for reporting and analytics solutions.
o Plan of Record - collaborate with solution managers and delivery managers to document and manage the formal plan of record including business outcomes, release plan, investment plan, resource plan, assumptions, risks and issues.

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess as many of the following skills / experiences as possible:
o Strong BI theoretical, practical technology, dimensional modeling and architecture knowledge
o Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and MultiDimensional eXpressions (MDX)
o Ability to advise and get "hands on" as necessary to drive data consistency and improve our BI capabilities
o Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
o Ability to act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical architects/SMEs and development teams to ensure successful technical fulfillment of business requirements
o Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
o Experience identifying, refining and implementing business requirements and writing functional specifications
o Understanding of the Microsoft Business Intelligence technology stack (SQL Server, SharePoint/Performance Point, Excel, etc.) is required
o Working knowledge of analytic techniques, structured approaches to problem solving, financial analysis and business strategy

Role Qualifications:
o Education/Certification - Bachelor's degree in information management or related discipline, or equivalent; Certified Business Intelligence Professional preferred.
o 7+ years project/program management experience
o Analytical Problem Solving - ability to evaluate business processes and data from transactional systems across the ES business to derive understanding of the information needs, data quality issues and dependencies across the ecosystem.
o Building Customer and Partner Relationships - experienced establishing and maturing relationships across multiple teams.
o Change Management - Champion the change management plan by collaborating with business partners and Field IT to prepare for adoption and realize business value.
o Confidence - Takes ownership of challenging situations that require engagement with Program Leads. Engages stakeholders to drive positive outcomes.
o Cross-Boundary Collaboration - Takes ownership as the primary SME on the BI assets for their LOB and develops relationships with LOB SME's, Business capability architects, delivery partners, end-users that facilitates a "we-team" culture for shared business outcomes. Collaborates effectively across the ecosystem to manage dependencies, change and mitigations that may impact the BI assets.
o Interpersonal Awareness - As a BI Program Manager you are the owner of the program/projects and this requires the ability to understand people from various points of view and perspectives.
o Impact and Influence - Strong negotiation and consensus building skills when dealing with internal customers, stakeholders and team members. Can identify business issues and develop risk mitigation strategies. Ability to recognize and resolve conflict on your own.
o Project Management - experienced managing risks, issues and optimizing constraints
o Strategic Insight - Ability to understand the broader business and information strategies, priorities, issues and opportunities areas when making recommendations and decisions. Someone who is inquisitive to challenge the status quo and understands how their program investments support key business priorities.
o Technical Excellence - Experience in Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing requirements and modeling lifecycle. The candidate must have a understanding of BI architectures, data modeling, dimensional modeling concepts, Microsoft BI products & development tools.
