SUMMARY:

The mission of the Microsoft Retail Stores is to profitably showcase Microsoft technology and illuminate our innovation story, by transforming the buying and ownership experience for Microsoft devices, software and services.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As part of the Microsoft Retail Stores - Product Strategy and Experiences team you will be responsible to help us achieve our sales and revenue goals through establishing and executing on a business development and co-marketing framework for partners.

You will fulfill a vital role founding the co-marketing and business development practices and owning the pipeline of sponsorship opportunities across Microsoft Retail Stores. This includes refining the offerings, process development and competitive analysis, establishing the product placement framework and working cross-functionally to enable greater margin in the business.

You are a confident individual and leader who has a deep understanding of co-marketing and partnering with brands. You work well influencing across teams and are decisive. You have the ability to react quickly and strategically to change, and love a challenge.

By building strong internal cross-team partnerships you will represent Microsoft Stores in external partner engagements to align co-marketing efforts and product placements. Success in the role includes:

- Overall strategic leadership on how Microsoft Stores defines co-marketing and sponsorship relationships. This will require proven experience in co-marketing partnerships as well as strong cross teaming skills to work across all the areas of the retail stores organization (marketing, online, merchandising, experiences, etc.).
- Communication and reporting internally and externally of partnerships and co-marketing efforts. You will be accountable to the partner and the internal team to report out on the commitments and success of business development partnerships. Success includes creating the partnerships and also seeing them through the campaign. Executive maturity and strong communication skills required.
- Partnering with LCA in the contractual relationships with partners on financial commitments for marketing, merchandising, training and online experiences.
- Establishing yourself as the overall Co-Marketing and Business Development lead, including regular cross-team operating meetings and reporting. This includes in-person meeting management as well as post-meeting reporting and follow-up. Opportunity exists for this role and team to grow significantly.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

This position is responsible for managing these programs and initiatives on a North American basis. You must be able to handle multiple projects concurrently, and work well under regular deadline pressure in a constantly evolving environment. Ideally you will have 10+ years of work experience, with 7+ years of business development, co-marketing or partnership experience. BA/BS required. You have a high degree of motivation and work well both as an individual and within a team environment. You must have superior communication skills both in person and through email and proposal documents. Ability to travel 10-15%, domestic and international.
